DYPP Kolhapur Admission

Admissions at D Y Patil polytechnic institute is done merit-based depending upon the government quota seats (CAP) and institute level seats. CAP allotted seats get allocated with certain ranking being secured by the applied students belonging to the Maharashtra state.

The schedule for CAP is declared by the Directorate of technical education (DTE) and the detailed admission process is announced by the institute.

For direct admission in the 2nd year of diploma engineering, the candidate must have passed any one of the following

HSC science
ITI (2 years) passed with 35% marks (PCB/PCM/PCMB)

DYPP Kolhapur Placements

A central placement cell is organized within the campus with coordinators from each department for a smooth placement process. The training and placement cell facilitates the placement process for pass-out students but it does not guarantee the job.

Placement registration is done for only one year.

D Y Patil Polytechnic offers the following facilities:

Computer centre- The computer labs at the institute has the advanced computer systems maintained with latest software, great LAN networks, and Cyberoam firewall. All the labs have power back-up facilities to avoid interruptions during unexpected power cutoff.
Library- The library at the institution is filled up with books, national and international journals, and publications that can help students gain vast knowledge. Along with that, it enables the students with the subscription to a lot of literary institutes including the Institute of Electrical and Electronics engineers (IEEE), American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), and American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME). Students can also learn from E-library which includes over 1200 e-journals published across the world.
Workshops- The workshop is well-equipped with tools and machines for practical learning. The workshop on the campus consists of a carpentry shop, welding shop, fitting shop, and plumbing shop. CNC machines and various other modern equipment are also provided for training the students.
