Applications for all diploma courses (including categories) are done online. There are no printed/ offline application forms available.
- Log on to www.onlinetesthry.gov.in.
- Fill the particulars and upload your colored photograph and signature.
- Opt which course you’re looking to take admission in, i.e. Diploma Engg./ Diploma Engg. Lateral Entry. Include category (if any)
- Note down the application number which is generated once you submit the application form. This number is important for any future communication.
- The Diploma Engineering Lateral Entry candidates have to upload the scanned copy of the Detailed Marks Certificate (DMC) of the 10th and qualifying exams.
- After submission of the form, deposit the application fee online.
Government Polytechnic Hisar Placement
The college has an active and functional Training & Placement Cell. This aims at providing 100% employment to its students. The institute also plans educational tours for the students, so they can learn about the country’s market, culture, and industries, along with other aspects. Each semester, extension lecturers are also held to cover up information on the latest technology.
In 2019, the institute held its first Job, Mela. During 6th-8th March 2019, 150 students got placed in various companies. Some of the top recruiters are Team Computers Pvt. Ltd. Delhi, Solitaire Infosys Mohali, Daffodil Software, Hisar, Express Roadways Pvt. Ltd. Hisar, etc.

- Hostels: The campus has separate hostels for boys and girls. The intake is 180 for boys, and 135 for girls. Space is fitted with various perks like a common room, game boards, and a gym. The hostels also contain canteens. Guest rooms are also available in the campus.
- Laboratories: The polytechnic campus has well-equipped laboratories, with Wi-Fi connectivity. This ensures that there is no hampering to a student’s skill. These labs provide industrial exposure and impart practical knowledge to the students.
- Library: With over 40,000 volumes in the fields of engineering, sciences, and management, the campus library is richly stocked. The reading hall seats 40, and it also provides a book bank facility to economically weaker students of the institute.
