NICMAR Delhi: Fees, Admission 2026, Courses, Cutoff, Ranking, Placement

For getting into NICMAR, You need to give the Post Graduate NICMAR Common Admission Test (PG-NCAT) which consist of 

• Quantitative and Analytical Ability 
• Data Interpretation 
• Verbal and General Ability 

This test is given 60% weightage followed by a GD and PI round which is of 16.67% weightage. The interview process consists of knowledge about self, General awareness that you should Prepare one engineering subject very well (in addition to your usual preparation). Sometimes interviewers ask, “What’s your favorite subject?”.

You may be able to take out an education loan to afford the fee structure at NICMAR. Few banks, in my opinion, will issue you a loan right away, but with persistent follow-ups, providing them with the genuine certificate from the college and the other required documents, you can receive one. Try to obtain it from SBI since their interest rate is considerably lower than that of the other banks.

Scholarships are also available to merit-based students. While they won't pay your entire tuition, you can use the money to cover your living expenses for the two years you'll be studying there.

NICMAR PUNE campus is the finest institution. Placements, extracurricular activities, and everything the individuals mentioned are excellent.

In my opinion, the best aspect is knowledge. With all due respect to the faculty members of other campuses, the NICMAR PUNE campus has some of the most accomplished professors. Some of them have been instructing NICMAR students since as early as 1995.

Just like any other B School, the dress code for classes is FORMALS.

For the classes, casual formals are acceptable. Semi-formal trousers and shirts will also do. It also depends a lot on the professors. There are some professors who are very particular with the dress code while for others it may not matter. 

But for your own good and preparing yourself for the industry, you should try and adapt to wearing formal every day for classes.

To add to the point above, during the placement process, a strict formal - White Shirt and Black Trouser with a Tie are mandatory.

Moreover, it sounds very difficult but with time you will get adjusted and it won't be a problem anymore. And while on campus you will have bigger problems at hand than just thinking about wearing formal for classes!

 For preparing for the NICMAR interview, you can consider the following points:

• Institute information: Understanding NICMAR's history, mission, and programs is crucial. This will help you prepare for the interview and learn about the institute.
• Course Content: Review the program's course materials and schedule. This will help you understand the questions.
• Refresh Your Technical Knowledge: Review the technical material relevant to your subject of study. Since NICMAR courses emphasize construction and project management, brush up.
• Interviewers may ask general knowledge questions regarding politics, economics, or current events. Be updated and ready to answer such questions.
• Practice your communication: Interviews demand good communication. Practice short, confident speeches. Improve eye contact and body language.
• Be prepared to discuss your personal life, objectives, and goals. These questions assess program suitability and motivation.

Overall, you should focus on being a well-rounded applicant with good communication skills, technical knowledge, and a positive mindset.

Although passing the NICMAR entrance exam is not very difficult, you’ll require to practice your verbal and aptitude skills more because of the intense competition for the major branches like ACM (Pune) and PEM. 

For reading, you could start by investing 60 minutes of your daily time into a few articles and make sure that the articles are from diverse sources and topics so that you can develop a habit of reading without getting overwhelmed which could also improve your speed. Read over current circumstances as well because the GD round no longer exists so during the interview, they might ask you a haphazard question on a topical issue.
