Established in the year 1982, Mahatma Gandhi Mission (MGM) Trust is primarily situated at Nanded Maharashtra and has it’s centres in Nanded, Aurangabad, Navi Mumbai, Parbhani in Maharashtra State and Noida in Uttar Pradesh. Situated in Aurangabad, Mumbai Mahatma Gandhi Mission Polytechnic was established under MGM trust in 2010. It provides a pleasant atmosphere for digilent academic pursuits. The college is affiliated to MSBTE, approved by AICTE (All India Council for Technical Education), New Delhi & recognized by the Government of Maharashtra.

It offers diploma courses in 5 different specializations which are Computer Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Mechanical Engineering. The admission is through CAP rounds.

MGM Polytechnic Admissions

The college gives admission to the students on the basis of CAP rounds and 20% seats are reserved for the Management Quota. Allocation of seats takes place as 70% for home district i.e. Aurangabad and 30% seats for State level.

The application procedure of CAP is given below:

The candidates have to fill an application form for participation in the centralised admission process. They also have to fill their college choices.
The provisional and final merit lists are released on the official website.
If selected for MGM Polytechnic, candidates have to report to the college for the verification of documents.
Admission is confirmed upon payment of fees.

Like any other engineering college, MGM Polytechnic has a dedicated Training and Placement Cell headed by Prof. Bhalekar B.D. Listed below are the details of the placement over the past years for the Institute:

MGM Polytechnic Facilities

Hostel: The institute provides separate hostel facilities to boys and girls at walkable distance from the college campus. Some of the facilities inside the hostel include visitors room, recreation room, guest room, mess and laundry.
Sports and Gym: The institute has a huge sports complex with indoor as well as outdoor gaming options. It includes 3 swimming pools and special coaching is provided to the members of the sports complex and MGM Swimming Summer Camps are also organised. Separate Gymnasiums for Male and Female are available with all the latest technology equipment. It also contains 3 Badminton Courts and 1 Cricket Stadium spreading over a distance of 240x240 sqft..
Internet: Internet facility is available on the college campus for all students and teachers through a free centralized wifi system.
Labs: The college has many labs including Central Lab, Java programming lab, Projects Lab, Microprocessor Lab, Network Lab and Programming Labs.
Other Facilities: SOme basic facilities like mess, anti ragging committee, SC/ST committee, Student counsellor, etc are also provided for the well being of students.

The college has a well structured and trained staff which consists of about 60 teachers as teaching staff and other non teaching staff consisting of committee members and sports teachers. The Principal of the institute is Dr. Patil B.M. Other faculty members include Shri. Kamalkishore Kadam as Chairman, Shri. Ankushrao Kadam as Secretary, Shri. Pratap S. Borade as Director.
