IIIT Raichur B.Tech Eligibility Criteria

• For eligibility for B.Tech, the candidate must have cleared their 10+2 examinations from a recognized board.
• They should have Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the following - Chemistry/Biology/Biotechnology in their 10+2
• The candidate must score 75% aggregate in 10+2 for general category students or 65% aggregate if belonging to the reserved category.

IIIT Raichur offers Ph.D research programs in Computer & Science Engineering, and the Mathematics department. For the application, students need to pay INR 1,000 for general/OBC candidates and INR 500 for SC/ST/PWD/Female candidates. At an annual fee of INR 66,400, programs are available for the following eligible candidates:

• Regular Full-time with Fellowship from a recognized funding agency

• For CSE departments, Candidates must have a master’s degree in Computer Engineering/ IT/ Computer Science/Computer Applications/ ECE stream.
• A total of 7.0 CGPA must be secured by the general/ OBC (Creamy-layer) candidates.
• For OBC (Non-creamy layer) candidates, 6.5 CGPA is required.
• For SC & ST candidates, a 6.0 CGPA is required.
• For the Mathematics department, candidates need to have an MA/M.Sc degree in mathematics with 6.5 CGPA for general category and OBC (Creamy layer) candidates.
• Relaxation provided for SC, ST, and OBC (Non-Creamy layer).

• Selection is primarily based on a written exam followed by multiple personal interview rounds.
• Finally, selected candidates are informed through the website within two weeks of the interview.
• However, students with a valid score in GATE/CSIR/UGC-NET/UGC-JRF will have more preference.

How to Apply for IIIT Raichur?

To apply for the B.Tech program at IIIT Raichur, follow the following steps:

• For registration, the candidate should visit the official site of the NTA.
• Create a login ID and password.
• Fill in all the details like name, contact number, address, date of birth, etc.
• Upload scanned images of passport-size photographs and the signature of the candidate, the signature of the father/mother, or guardian.
• Pay the application fee through net banking, credit card, debit card, Paytm, or UPI.
• Take a printout of the application form once the entire procedure has been completed.

The candidates are selected based on their performance in the JEE Main entrance examination.

• After checking the All India Rank on the NTA website, the candidate shall check their rank with the cutoff list released by the institute.
• If the candidate’s rank matches the one released by the college, the candidate can register on the official website of JOSAA.
