Bharati College Hostels: Students' Opinion

AI-Generated Summary based on 106 Reviews

The hostel at the college is newly constructed and accommodates 60-80 students across its four floors. It is primarily available to non-Delhi NCR students, with NRI and foreign students having reserved seats. The cost is approximately 160,000 INR annually, inclusive of a monthly mess fee. Facilities include spacious, clean rooms with 2-3 sharing options, individual beds, almirahs, study tables, and chairs. There is a common bathroom on each floor and meals are served four times a day in the mess.

The meal quality has been criticized, though the menu is varied. The hostel is considered hygienic, with friendly staff and a curfew time of 10 PM. It offers a safer and more convenient option compared to nearby PG accommodations, which are generally more expensive and less spacious. However, students must purchase their own curtains and other personal items. The application process for hostel seats is detailed, based on merit and distance from college.

Hostel Facilities:

The year when I joined was the first operational year of the hostel hence there wasn't much for us, I stayed in the hostel for 2 years hence I can tell that nothing much changes throughout my graduation, students have to buy each item other than tables, chairs and beds (even curtains has to be bought by the students). There were no AC rooms or even rooms with cooler were not available, this was a fallout, since it gets very hot in summers, especially on top floors. The hostel had four floors and it had a capacity of 60-80 students. In the first year, the meal quality wasn't up to the mark, students often complained and after a year the existing tender was changed, the menu was fine but it wasn't followed diligently and the quality of food wasn't that great. Since the hostel was new and small, it could accommodate very few girls hence the hostel process was a little detailed, one could only apply for a hostel if they did not belong to delhi ncr, approx cost was 50k plus 3k PM for mess.

Hostel Facilities:

I have stayed in hostel as well a pg. hostel rooms are very spacious and there are 2 sharing as well as 3 sharing rooms with individual beds and almirah. A study table and chairs.A common bathroom (each floor as a bathroom).Approx 10 rooms on each floor. There is a mess on ground floor and the warden lives on the 1st floor. PG's in my area are usually expensive and are not even that spacious. They are more suffocating. Some of them provide with food some of them dont. They make money at that start of the month usually they most 7000-8000 per month +electricity +some of them cost for food.

I was not staying in the hostel. The hostels are reserved for the NRI and foreign students. College offers hostels for girls. The cost of the hostel comes around 160000 including the mess. My friend staying in the hostel enjoys it and says that the facilities are good. The curfew time for hostels is 10 PM.

Our annual fest name is Abhivyakti and there are other department fest too. Books are available in library but only 3-4 copy are only available. There is a gym in college and per month fees is rupees hundred which is affordable. And there are many student-run clubs here. I think every club somehow impact the student life.

Our campus is pretty cool. It is simply like other college campuses. Classes, canteen, library, ground, lawn etc. What it makes it truly special is the memories made there. Sports and Ncc are two categories where true attention is paid

Campus Life:

Range of books available is high but it is limited. You can access it easily from the library. The classrooms has one or two charging points and one projector but only a few of them work but that's it. Various sports are offered and the practice sessions are geld very early in the morning. Many clubs are there but not all them are renowned. Only one or two fests are held in college every year that is decent.
