Teerthanker Mahaveer University (TMU) Distance Education was established in 2008 by an Act (no 30) of the Government of Uttar Pradesh and was approved by the University Grants Commission (UGC), since the inception in 2008.

Teerthanker Mahaveer University (TMU) Distance Education stands committed to the ideals of Lord Mahaveer- Right Philosophy, Right Knowledge, and Right Conduct in all the spheres of activity and aspires to be recognized as the epitome destination for a world-class education.

There are many departments in the university, but the College of Jain Studies offers Distance education course.
It offers BA & MA in Jainology and hopes to launch the programs subject to approval by the Distance Education Bureau (DEB), UGC.
University offers these courses free of cost.

Teerthanker Mahaveer University (TMU) Distance Education Application Process 2024

The application form is available both online and offline. Candidates who are filling the offline need to follow the steps given below:

1.The application form is available in the admission brochure which is available on all days of the week (Monday to Sunday from 9:00am-6: 00 pm)

2.Candidates can also download the Application form viz. available on the University’s website.

3.Fill the application form carefully and attach all the required documents

4.The admission brochure along with the application form and if you are doing payment of application form through speed post/ courier then one should pay through the DD/pay order of INR 600 drawn in favor of the ‘Teerthanker Mahaveer University’ and the duly filled form can be forwarded to the Director-
