MBB College, the largest government college in Tripura, is a popular choice for students who have completed their 12th grade. It is well-regarded for its supportive faculty, with notable members like Dr. Sen and Dr. Swami, who are known for their positive influence. The college charges an annual fee of Rs 2700, with no additional costs, and offers free education for female students, requiring only exam fees of Rs 280 or Rs 320, depending on the presence of practicals.
Male students pay an admission fee of Rs 280 per semester. The college provides various government scholarships, including Ishan Uday, CSS, and SC/ST stipends, with an SC scholarship offering Rs 2,300 for eligible students. Despite not offering on-campus placements, the college has strong job opportunities, with companies visiting annually. Students might seek additional tuition for better understanding, although the teaching is sufficient to pass exams.
