Shyampur Siddheswari Mahavidyalaya college, located in Shyampur village of Howrah was established in 1964. The college mainly offers undergraduate courses to the students. Shyampur Siddheswari Mahavidyalaya UG Eligibility Criteria

A candidate who has cleared the Higher Secondary (10+2) is eligible to take admission to the 1st year in any subject like B.A./B.Sc./B.Mus. (Honours/General) ensuring that he/she has also passed in English.
Candidates who have passed the Higher Secondary (10+2) Vocational examination conducted by the West Bengal State Council of Vocational Education and Training shall be eligible to take admission to the B.A. (General) 1st year Course of Studies taking the subjects under Humanities Division only.
Students who have passed the Higher Secondary (10+2) Examination or its equivalent from the All India Boards/Councils need not require to submit Migration Certificate for getting Registration under this University.

b) For reserved category candidates, there should be 40% marks in the aggregate or 40% marks in the subject or related subjects at the previous qualifying examination, as the case may be.

Admission:

I got admission by merit list. As I was a middle class student so I was apply first, since I was not confirm that I got into the college. But luckily after IV list got admitted to that college. I admitted in the course of physics honours. The lab and classroom was perfect. There was also a dark room that is very necessary. I was happy in those years and the all professors were vere good and helpful.
