Bdch pros and cons

Likes

Goverment dental hospital seperate from other departments making it very much exposing to large numbers of patient
Internship programme and housestaffship programme hand over nice money and experience
A good environment and great support from the seniors and alumni

Dislikes

College doesn't have a proper hostel yet
Lacks a good campus and greenery while the college still lack a proper owned ground
The college has a student union that is beneficial and bad for different terms

Internships Opportunities:

The internship programme provided by the college is Excellent as only 4 hours of timely duty ends up with the nice 30k salary which is similar to mbbs graduates. The internship programme is for whole 365 and paid internship is rare in Indian colleges. While nice pay makes it very much better

Dental college experiences and conclusions

Likes

Attendance is very much flexible and not very mandatory
Classes are from 10 to 2 that gives much time to explore other things

Dislikes

No ground provided by the college for the students
No campus area and playing area for the students

Internships Opportunities:

The course ends up with a year long mandatory internship programme with a good amount of payment per month tha could be around 30k. The timings for the interns are also reasonable it's only from 10 am to 2 pm

Our college is a government college there is no placements guarantee. But yes government job we can get otherwise we have to open our own clinic.

Because this is a government college the placements are great and all the jobs provide a great stipend. Working int he college government hospital also opens up further job opportunities for the students and their careers.

My college

Placement Experience:

You have to complete one year of stipend compulsory internship. You will be posted in each department and you will get to work on patients. You dont need to give any exam in this year. Current stipend is about 22000 per month.

As it's not like a general engineering college, there no job placements. It's a government college and in our couse a 1 yr internship is mandatory to get the BDS degree after the 4 years of studies. Currently the stipend provided is 23.8k per month to a internee.

Placement Experience:

Yes college provides internship to their students with enough stipend to take a new step in future. It provides one year internship with House staff facility also and the experience is good and it also give enough training to deal with patients in future alone.
