Fakir Chand College offers admissions to traditional courses in B.A, BSc, B.Com, M.A, MSc, M.Com and B.Ed. respectively.

Admissions to all UG and PG courses will be purely done on merit of qualifying examination.
The minimum marks required for UG courses in class 12^th is 50% in aggregate and 45% in the subject in which the candidate wants to apply for Honours course.
For admissions to Master’s degree, candidates need to have passed bachelor’s degree in the concerned or related subject.
They will be offered seats in the order of merit as per the rules of University of Calcutta.
Those applying for admission to B.Ed course will be admitted on the basis of merit in the qualifying examination.
To be eligible for B.Ed course, candidates must pass in either of Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in any discipline with minimum 50% in aggregate.
Application to any course will be invited in online mode only on the official college website.
The application fees can be paid in both online (Credit/Debit Card) and offline mode (Bank Challan).
The selected candidates will confirm their seats in the college after verification of documents and payment of ‘provisional admission fee’.

The college offers three-year degree courses of B.A in six specializations, BSc in eight specializations and B.Com. The selection will be affected on the merit of marks secured in class 12^th qualifying examination. B.A General and BSc General Courses are also offered in a number of subject combination.

To be eligible the minimum marks in required in class 12^th or equivalent is 50% in aggregate and 45% in the subject (or in the related subject) in which a candidate is seeking admissions.

A candidate, who fails to secure 50% in aggregate but obtained at least 55% in the subject (or in the related subject) in HS/equivalent, will be eligible for apply for honors.
If a subject is not studied in the HS/equivalent but is intended to be taken as honors, the applicant must obtain least 50% in aggregate (top-4) in the qualifying examinations.
SC/ST candidates will be eligible to apply for honors if he/she obtains at least 40% in aggregate (top-4) or 40% in the subject (or in the related subject) in HS/equivalent.
In order to take up Honors in Education, the subjects Psychology/Philosophy/ Mathematics/Sociology/Economics/Political Science/History are to be treated as allied subject.

Fakir Chand College B.Ed Admission 2024

The college offers two years of B.Ed course in nine specializations to the candidates with a total intake of 50. The minimum eligibility for students are as follows:

Deputed: Candidates must have passed Bachelor’s degree/Master’s degree or any other equivalent qualification with minimum 50% marks from recognized university. Candidates will be selected on the basis of the period of approved service in the secondary schools.
Fresher: Candidates with atleast 50% marks in Bachelor’s degree/Master’s degree or equivalent are eligible to apply.

Selection to B.Ed program is done on the basis of marks obtained in the qualifying examination. Merit for valid in-service candidates will be made on the basis of their teaching experience. Candidates can apply online through the official website of the college before the last date.

The final merit point of eligible candidates will be formulated after giving weightage to the following criteria:

Secondary level - 10%
Higher Secondary level - 20%
Graduation level - 10% (Pass) or 30% (Hons)
Post-graduation level - 35%
M.Phil - 3 marks
Ph.D - 5 marks (If both M.Phil. and Ph.D. degree is secured by candidates then marks for Ph.D. will be taken into consideration)

The other courses offered by the college at PG level include courses in M.A, MSc and M.Com. The admissions to the courses are done on the basis of merit of marks obtained in bachelor’s degree in aggregate. MSc in Mathematics is a self-financed course; hence applications are invited separately. Applicants seeking admissions must satisfy the given eligibility criteria:

Fakir Chand College Application Process 2024

The application to the courses will be made in online mode only. There is separate admission portal for UG, PG and B.Ed courses. Candidates must follow the given instructions while making an application:

Visit the official website of the college and click on the Admission tab followed by the desired course.
The application form should be submitted very carefully as applicants will get only one chance to correct the form (if any) before the final submission.
Applicants will submit the application first and obtain a unique Application ID via email.
Using the same ID, Application Fee of INR 100 (+ bank charges, if applicable) for UG courses, INR 400/- for PG courses and INR 500 for B.Ed has to be paid by challan at any branch of the AXIS Bank or by Credit/Debit card/Net Banking.
For cash payment, a cash challan will be generated using the Bank link provided and taking out a print out of the same.
Applicants are then required to visit any branch of AXIS bank along with the printed challan and deposit the cash.

Admission:

i get admission after giving my board exam in 12th, as i am a commerce student in my 10+2, i can get commerce subject as well as arts subject , yes there is some reservation for sc , st , obc. You can get admission from 12th percentage.

fakir cand colleges English honors admisssion requires completion of the application form, with details on eligibility, admission tests, fees, and dates available on the college website. Reservation benifits are outlined in the prospectus. Expecting transparacy and efficiency in the admission process.

The science department of this college is very good. I have heard from some of my seniors that the college had very good results in science group, The college have very good laboratory, The teachers are very much helpfull.
