Third-semester students at the college can participate in placements, but opportunities are limited, especially for Arts stream students. Local NGOs and small firms offer some positions, typically with low salaries. The highest salary package reported is 5-6 lakh per annum, while monthly salaries range from Rs. 10,000 to Rs. 30,000. About 50% of students successfully receive placements, with companies like BSNL offering auditor roles. However, the placement department is seen as inadequate, prompting students to prioritize academics for better opportunities elsewhere or pursue higher studies.
Internships are not currently provided but may be added in the future. The college is known for its affordable fees compared to other institutions. For example, the history department charges between INR 4,000 and 5,000 per year, and a BA program costs INR 6,000 annually. Scholarships are available for economically weaker students, reserved categories, and those taking Sanskrit electives. Additional financial support comes from UGC scholarships through the NSP portal and various state scholarships.
Notably, the college has not increased its fees and offers free transportation halfway to the nearest metro station to help students save costs. Despite these benefits, the placement cell remains less active, with limited opportunities from large companies. However, internships and job offers from NGOs and small firms are available.
