The college is one of the best colleges for conducive learning. There are enough books for study both in the Department and hospital library. The classrooms are well equipped with a computer and projector, the laboratories are also well equipped and NABL accredited. Students celebrate festivals like Pongal in January every year. Other activities include attending workshops, visitation to institutions relevant to the course and outside laboratory postings to NABL accredited laboratories of multispecialty Hospitals.

As a foreign student, I witness the Pongal celebration in January 2019. Medical Laboratory week comes annually in March which when you attend you get a certificate with credit points from Dr. MGR Medical University which is required for your dissertation marks. There are several books related to the course at the departmental library, at the research laboratories, and the hospital( Sankara Nethralaya) Classrooms are equipped with a computer and projector with an internet connection. The laboratories are fully equipped and students have to perform hands-on and must be conversant with all the techniques. Attendance of workshops and conferences by students and excursions to facilities of significance like National TB Research Institute, YRG Care, etc

Well equipped lab hi fi labs good learning hall and canteen is well constructed and food provided is also good. No nv is allowed inside the campus. The food provided in hostel itself is good and hygienic
