How is Pharm.D (Post Baccalaureate)?

Pharm.D (PB) program is a doctoral program Professional Pharmacy. B. Pharm graduates will be accepted as a candidate for lateral entry into the 4th year Pharm.D program and the duration of the course is three academic years (2 yrs of study and 1 year internship or residency).

What is the intake capacity for the Pharm.D and Pharm.D (Post Baccalaureate)?

Total revenue for the Pharm.D program shall be as determined by the Pharmacy Council of India from time to time and when it is restricted to the intake of 30 students to 10 students for the Pharm.D & Pharm D (PB) per academic year.

In what way Pharm.D differ from regular B.Pharm?

Both B.Pharm and Pharm D are qualified to run the pharmacy profession under the Pharmaceutical Affairs Law. B. Established in 1995, KMCH College of Pharmacy is recognized by the Government of Tamil Nadu and affiliated to The Tamil Nadu Dr. MGR Medical University. The college offers undergraduate and postgraduate courses such as D.Pharm, B.Pharm, M.Pharm., Pharm.D. Duration of B. Pharm is 4 years and that of M. Pharm is 2 years while Pharm. D and Ph.D. are 6 and 5 years respectively. Almost all students are employed in the leading pharma industries, hospitals, and academia across the country who opt for production, research, and development. Some other domains for careers are Pharmacovigilance, Pharmaceutical Marketing, Clinical Pharmacy, Community Pharmacy, Hospital pharmacy, Teachings. Some students also go for higher studies.
