The ESIC Medical College Chennai and PGIMSR is a government college which offers MBBS program at UG level and at PG Domain it offers MS & MD. Medical aspirants should meet the following eligibility criteria:
- Candidates who have completed 10+2 level exam in PCB are eligible to apply for MBBS program.
- Candidate has to clear NEET examination for taking admission in the MBBS course.
- To be eligible for admission to the PG courses, the candidates must possess an MBBS degree. Admission to the same will be granted on the basis of NEET-PG.
- Candidates should be 17-year of age at the time of admission or will attain the age by 31st December of that year.

The admission to this college is based on the marks scored during NEET UG exam conducted that year.The admission procedure comparatively easier than other colleges.

I chose this college based on neet marks and fee and the city. This college has an amazing infrastructure for a government college. I didn't get accepted to higher colleges because of my neet score. Neet exam is the only form of eligibility and 40% in board exams. Admission process is very simple with bio data and admission slip provided online after matching with the college

I prefered esic college over other colleges because of three main reasons first one is it is close to my house so there is no need to travel more as it would affect my studies and the second one is the bond period unlike other studens I would like to work for that one year and save some money for my PG and the third is the infrastructre it has the best infrastructre in tamil nadu.

Admission process is easy , everything is available in the college website and easy to access .The cutoff was 25000rank in NEET exam .The admission process for hostel was time taking cuz it required dean signature and she won't be available all the time.

In order to get the admission here if you want to do MBBS, you should have got your 12th complete in science stream. You should have qualifying NEET scores. Then they have some quota system in which you should fall under. So because i fulfilled all their criteria i got selected. All this process seems complicated but believe it's not so. You must just be determined that you have to do this and that's it. You are all set.

I got admission in this college via NEET, which has been the only mode of entrance exam since 2017. I particularly opted for this college because it has a good reputation, is close to home, and also allows you to complete a year as house surgeons also.
