Admission to Cochin University of Science and Technology (CUSAT) requires candidates to undertake the CUSAT Common Admission Test (CAT). Applications are usually submitted in February, with exams held in April or May. Admission is determined by rank, with top rankers placed at the main campus. The Computer Science, IT, and ECE branches have a 100% placement rate if students have no backlogs in their seventh semester. Placements are less frequent for Civil, Electrical, and Mechanical branches.
