College of Engineering (CEC), Cherthala is located in Kerala. It was established in 2004 and is affiliated to APJwithbdul Kalam Technological University (KTU).

College of Engineering (CEC) offers B.Tech and M.Tech in different specializations. The college also offers lateral entry for relevant diploma holders. 24 seats are allotted to the PG courses, while 60-120 seats are allotted to UG courses.

The mode of application is online for both courses, with an exception for M.Tech.
Candidates have to qualify (Kerala Engineering Agricultural Medical) KEAM to get admission in B.Tech
For M.Tech, the selection is done on merit basis.

CEC Cherthala B.Tech. Admission 2024

College of Engineering, Cherthala offers B.Tech in three specializations. The minimum eligibility is 50% marks at 10+2 level.

Admissions are done on the basis of performance in KEAM entrance exam. Candidates with a relevant Diploma degree can get a lateral entry (LT) to the second year of B.Tech. A separate entrance examination is conducted for such candidates.

CEC Cherthala M.Tech. Admission 2024

College of Engineering, Cherthala offers two specialized M.Tech courses. Candidates eligible for applying to M.Tech courses in CEC must hold a valid B.Tech/B.Sc. Engineering degree from a recognized university. The selection is done on the basis of merit in the qualifying examination.

CEC Cherthala Application Process

The application process criteria for B.Tech degree admission is prescribed by Commissioner for Entrance Examinations (CEE), Govt. of Kerala and the concerned university. The application form is released every year by Govt. of Kerala through a common prospectus for admission to professional degree courses. Candidates have to visit the official website of CEE, Kerala for more details.

For the admission to M.Tech degree, candidates need to follow these steps:

Visit the official website of DTE Kerala
Submit an application to the Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) and indicate their choice of institution in Annexure B of the form.

AND

Apply separately apply for M.Tech admission at CEC, Cherthala, following the instructions which will be updated on the official website of the college.

CEC Cherthala Reservation

50% of seats are designated as free-ship seats for which the fee is collected at a lower rate.
35% seats are designated as full-fee seats for which the fee, as proposed by the Fee Regulatory Committee, is charged, with a concession if any, approved by Government of Kerala.
The remaining 15% seats are filled under NRI quota based on their marks at 10+2 level.
5% of students are admitted in each discipline under Fee Waiver Scheme (FWS) with tuition fee concession.

I took this college because I got scholarship which me requiring not to pay tuition fee ,and I only wanted. To get into a government one Admission process for me was fairly simple as it consisted me to complete keam exam and get a rank above 20k and some documents related to the seat

Admission:

I got allotment to this college after qualifying for keam exam.I was not rejected from any other college,the reason for me to choose this college is i studied in an ihrd school and I was very much satisfied with their management thats one reason and the computer science and engineering course in our college had NBA accreditation that's another reason.the addmission process is not very complex Nothing like interview or group discussion is conducted for students the qualification to join here is keam and NRIseats are also available the students who complete 12th in cbse had a cut off that's reflected in their keam rank

Iam applied various colleges for various courses such as BSC nursing. But i got the admission in this college for the first time. After joining this college i felt there is no politics in this college and there is no strike during my academic year. Overall a peaceful atmisphere. iam selected for the BSC Nursing in Karakonam medical college, but I felt More standard in thus course. These colleges a stress reliefing ecosystem which will reduce the academic pressure and the college gives us freedom in many personal aspects then other colleges college of engineering cherthala is my first option in my list it as more placement then other colleges that admission process is completely based on keam which at a normal level of difficulty
