Eligibility Criteria
- Pass in 10+2 with 60% aggregate of marks in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry and with not less than 55% individually in each of these three subjects.
- Candidates, whose date of birth falls on or after July 1, 1999.
Selection Process
- 70% seats through AEE and 30% through JEE Mains
- Apply online and Register for Amrita Entrance Examination – Engineering / Choose the JEE Mains option.
- AEE is conducted in two modes: Computer Based Test (CBT) and Pen & Paper Test (PPT).
- Syllabus for AEE consists of three sections Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. The questions are based on the syllabus in Class 11th & Class 12th.
- Preparation material for AEE is provided on the official site of the university.
- The paper consists of 100 questions, 30 each from Physics and Chemistry, 40 from Mathematics.
- Date and Time slot booking for CBT is done online on the university site
- PPT is conducted on one slot only and applicants shall choose their two preferred city choices for the exam centre.
- Submit your academic preference (campus + branch) prior to the registration for Seat Allotment.
- Register online for Seat Allotment after the publication of results.

Selection process
- Direct admission to GATE qualified students.

How to apply for Amrita School of Engineering?
- Application submission is online and shall be submitted via the website amrita.edu/btech
- Click on “Apply Now” option and fill the registration form and upload the necessary documents
- One candidate shall submit only one application form. Multiple applications will be rejected.
- The application fee may be paid either by credit/debit card or net banking. Any other mode is not accepted for online application.
Amrita School of Engineering Scholarship
The institute offers scholarship under 3 criteria – merit, socially backward communities and special disadvantaged groups. The scholarship schemes include tuition/fee waiver (partial or full), stipends to cover living expenses and/or health benefits expenses, etc. The amounts depend on the scheme, the academic program, location, etc.
The students should contact the departmental office and submit an application in the appropriate form. The department will provide the list of scholarship schemes available.
The office of the registrar will review all scholarship applications. Institutional scholarships will follow the three criteria mentioned above.
