Zakir Husain Evening College Admission 2024 has started on the official website. The college carries out admission to all UG and PG courses through Delhi University’s Common Seat Allocation System (DU CSAS). The CUET UG is generally conducted in March and the CUET PG is conducted in the month of May/June by NTA, every year. The ZHC (Evening) admission cutoff 2024 is expected to be around 539-752 for BA (Hons) courses and 755 for B.Com courses for the general category students. For admission to PG courses, candidates must score 200-215 marks in general category.

Zakir Husain Evening College PG Admission 2024

Zakir Husain Evening College offers admission to only one PG course i.e. MA in 3 different specializations. The admission to these courses is offered based on the performance of candidates in the CUET PG. To become eligible for the courses, candidates must have a graduate degree in relevant stream from a recognized university.

Zakir Husain Evening College Admission Process 2024

Step 1: Register for the Entrance Examination

Zakir Husain Evening College admissions to all UG & PG courses are based on scores obtained in the entrance examination. To apply for admission, candidates must register for the following entrance examinations:

  • Candidates applying for CUET must select Delhi University while filling out the application form. Additionally, they must choose subjects for which they have appeared or qualified in the last qualifying exam.

To successfully submit the CUET application, candidates require various documents such as -

  • A scanned copy of the recent passport-sized photograph
  • Scanned copy of your signature (black ink)
  • Photo ID proof issued by the government (Aadhar card, PAN card, Voter ID, Passport, etc.)
  • Marksheets of all qualifying exams
  • Category certificate (if applicable)
  • Banking details for application fee payment

Step 2: Appear for the Entrance Exam

Candidates who filled out the application form must appear for the entrance examination as per the schedule. The timeline of when entrance exams are usually conducted in a year is given below:

Step 3: Registration on DU CSAS Portal and Filling of Courses and College Preferences

Candidates who qualify in the entrance examination must register on the Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS) Portal of Delhi University for the seat allotment at Zakir Husain College (Evening). Once the registration is done, candidates will be asked to fill in their college and course preferences. Registration portals for admission to various courses along with the registration fee of Delhi University are as follows:

  • Candidates who want to apply for the Sports Supernumerary or ECA quota must pay an additional application fee of INR 100.

There are various documents that the candidates should submit during the DU CSAS registration process such as -

  • Photo (jpeg/jpg format)
  • Scanned Signature (jpeg/jpg format)
  • Marksheet of all qualifying exams
  • Category Certificate (if applicable)
  • Affidavit for Single Girl Child (if applicable)
  • Certificate from Orphanage/ Death Certificate of parents (if applicable)
  • Kashmiri Migrant (if applicable)
  • PwBD/CW Category (if applicable)
  • Ward Quota (if applicable)
  • A total of 5 certificates from the past 3 years, if applying through ECA category
  • A total of 3 certificates from the past 3 years, if applying through the Sports Supernumerary category

Step 4: Seat Allocation

The seat allocation for all courses will be done in multiple rounds. Delhi University is going to release the merit lists in two categories: Common Merit List and Category 2 Merit List (for PG courses only). The Common Merit List (CML) is open to all candidates. However, for the Category 2 Merit List (C2ML), only students who have graduated from Delhi University will be considered for admission to PG programs. The Highest Possible Preference will be provisionally allocated to a candidate who meets the Zakir Husain Evening College admission criteria such as:

  • Combination of selected college and course
  • Rank secured in the entrance exam
  • Availability of seats
  • Category of candidates

Step 5: Blocking of Seats and Final Admission

Upon declaration of merit list, candidates can check the list by logging in to their CSAS dashboard for acceptance of the allocated seat, if offered. Once a seat has been allocated to the Zakir Husain Evening College in a particular round, the candidate must 'Accept' the allocated seat before the last date/time in a given time period. 

  • Once the candidate "Accept" the provisionally allocated seat, the college administration will approve the seat allotment by checking the eligibility and documents uploaded by the candidate. 
  • Upon approval of the seat allotment by the college, candidates will have to pay the Zakir Husain Evening College admission fee to confirm their seat.

I applied overall for all the colleges obviously on the first round I got shyama Prasad college for women and I didn't like it so in the 2nd round I got this college and I didn't go for 3rd round because I accidentally placed a not well reputed college above this so yeah I choose this one. *I applied for many colleges but got enrolled in Zakir Hussain because of distance from my home and also i research about infrastructure of this college it has vast facilities there. * No, I didn't get any rejection, i just wanted to do less travell. * At my time, i got admission through my merit percentage. for my course 92% required for morning and 85% for evening. i was eligible for eveing only. After getting admission, procedure was smooth, i just went to college and filled the form got help from seniors of my department, they were kind and helpfull in nature.Then along with admission form had to submit all the required documents- like your identity proof, all academic marksheets, fee reciept, category certificate(if applicable),migration certificate(if applicable).you need to sign all the documents and please carry all your original documents and copy as well.Your original documents will get submitted for verification and they returned it after some time,so dont worry about it.

The admission was not chaotic at all. Of course the cut offs were high but I got the subject I wanted. You can't find every details regarding admission ok their online portal. However they can really improve on the response time and improve their servers because during admission time when the servers get busy, it gets hanged very frequently

The admission was done on the basis of merit. My 12th standard's best 4 was calculated and thereafter, when my marks matched with the cut-off, the Dean and convener of the college approved and if was ultimately accepted by the principal after which I secured admission to this college.

There was a 4 steps admission process, first of all you need to fill up the form then wait for the cut off as soon as cut off releases you can apply to the particular Institute through your dashboard. Then final fee payment window would be shown. And then the admission will be given. After verification of documents.
