Valliammal College for Women offers B.Sc. programs in Mathematics, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Biotechnology and Computer Science and M.Sc. courses in Computer Science, Biochemistry, Applied Microbiology, Biotechnology and Bioinformatics. - Candidates admitted to M.Sc. in Bioinformatics must take Cell Biology (for B.Sc. Mathematics/ Physics/ CS/ Chemistry/ BE graduates) or Introduction to Mathematical Methods (B.Sc. Life Sciences/ B.D.S. / MBBS/ B.V. Sc./ B. Pharm graduates) as a compulsory subject.
- Those holding a BCA degree from a recognized institute are eligible for admission to M.Sc. in Computer Science.
- Applicants with a BBA/ B.L.M. / B.A. Economics/ B.Sc. Mathematics (or Statistics or Allied Mathematics or C language) are eligible to apply for MCA provided they have studied Mathematics as a subject at 10+2 level.
- Selection to all the courses is done on the basis of merit.

Valliammal College for Women – UG Admissions 2024
Valliammal College for Women offers a 3-year degree program in the disciplines of Science, Commerce, Computer Applications and Business Studies at the undergraduate level. The courses that are currently being offered include Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) programs in Mathematics/ Biochemistry/ Microbiology/ Biotechnology/ Computer Science, Bachelor in Computer Applications (BCA), Bachelor in Business Administration (BBA), a General B.Com program including three specialized B.Com programs with specializations in Corporate Secretaryship, Bank Management and Computer Applications.
The basic eligibility criteria for admission to the UG courses is a pass in the 10+2 level/ Intermediate exam from a recognized board. Selection of candidates is done on the first-come-first-serve basis purely on the basis of merit of marks obtained at 10+2 level.
Aspiring candidates may fill the application form available at the college’s admission office by visiting the campus in person. Photocopies of all relevant documents, attested by a Gazetted officer, must be submitted at the time of application form submission. The application fee for all UG courses offered by Valliammal College can be paid through demand draft or in cash as desired.

Valliammal College for Women – PG Admissions 2024
Valliammal College for Women offers 2-year Master degree courses in the disciplines of Science, Computer Applications and Management Studies at the post-graduate level. The courses that are currently being offered at the PG level include Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Computer Science/ Biochemistry/ Applied Microbiology/ Biotechnology/ Bioinformatics, Master in Computer Applications (MCA), and Master in Business Administration (MBA) with specialization in Business Communication and Total Quality Management.
A Bachelor’s degree in the relevant or allied disciplines from a recognized institute or university is the basic requirement for admission to these courses. Selection of candidates is done on the basis of marks obtained in the degree exam on the first-come-first-serve basis.
Candidates applying for the PG courses can be obtained the application form and prospectus by visiting the institute campus in person. The application form has to be completed in ink and submitted along with copies of all relevant documents at the institute’s admission office. Only cash payments and demand drafts are allowed for payment of application fee.

- Those with a degree in B. Pharm, BPT, B.V. Sc. may seek admission to the M.Sc. Bioinformatics program subject to meeting all eligibility criteria specified by the University of Madras.
- For admission to the MCA program, BCA/ B.E.S./ B.Sc. Mathematics (or Physics or Statistics or Applied Sciences) graduates or B.Com (General)/ B.Com. in Bank Management/ B.Com. in Corporate Secretaryship degree holders are eligible, in addition to BCA graduates.
Valliammal College for Women Application Process
Valliammal College for Women accepts applications from eligible female candidates through offline mode. The application form and prospectus can be obtained at the College’s admission office on all working days. It is required of all applicants to submit the duly filled application form at the admission office in person. The application process in details is as follows:
- Candidates after obtaining the application form should fill the same by themselves.
- The name should be written in Block Letters and exactly as is in the last qualifying exam documents.
- The applicant is advised to mention the name of the community at the time of filling the application form for the purpose of claiming seat reservation and scholarship benefits.
- She should also tick the relevant box while entering community details.
- Those wishing to apply for more than one course should submit separate applications for each course.
- The application fee for the applied program should be paid at the time of submission of application form.
- The same can be done using a demand draft or in cash deposited at the admission office.
- Candidates are required to attach photocopies of all relevant documents, duly attested by a Gazetted Officer/ Principal of the School or Institute last attended.
- Shortlisted applicants are sent interview cards via post.
- Admission is granted to those candidates who have appeared for the interview and on the basis of their performance in the same.
- Those who are called for the interview must bring original copies of their certificates and other relevant documents for verification purpose.
