Sourashtra College is a Linguistic Minority, Co-Educational College, located in Madurai and was established in 1967. It is affiliated with Madurai Kamaraj University.
This college offers both Aided Courses and Self-Finance Courses in B.A., B.Com, B.Sc., BBA and BCA program at the undergraduate level and M.A., M.Com, M.Sc., MBA, and MCA degree program at the postgraduate level.

- Students with vocational subjects in Commerce are given admission in 20% seats in courses like B.Com, BBA and B.Com with Computer Applications.
- Admission to M.Phil. and Ph.D. program is done on the basis of Personal Interview conducted by Madurai Kamaraj University.
- Candidate must have obtained Master’s degree in relevant discipline with 70% aggregate marks for eligibility.
- Selection of candidates for postgraduate courses is based on the merit in the qualifying exam and as per the cut-off list released by the college.

Sourashrtra College, Madurai offers BA degree in English, B.Sc. Degree in 10 specializations, B.Com degree in 3 specializations and BBA degree at the undergraduate level. Candidates must have passed 10+2 or equivalent exam from a recognized board with minimum 35% marks to become eligible.
For B.Sc. program, candidates must have passed 10+2 or equivalent exam from a recognized board with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and/or Biology as subjects in Class XII.

just the courses are offered depending on mark basis, also I have been recommended by a higher official for admission to the main campus, but my bad luck is I have been placed in a satellite campus which is away from my house, Even I enjoyed a daily travelling of 30kms from my home, I enjoyed a college life lot.

No entrance exam in sourastra college.Eligibility The course only 12th pass. You go to college reception then you find the application form, fees and animation date. Reservation benifits are not availed. Already having improvement good. first preference is given to those who did apply first to Sourastra College but got a call letter. The faculty is very good.

Sourashtra College is Co-education College and its place is very much peaceful and nature-oriented. The teacher is very friendly in this college. Classrooms are very large and that utility is very best girls students also provide college buses separately.
