The Vidarbha Institute of Technology (VIT), Nagpur was established in 2009. It is a self-financed college. The institute is approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi, & Government of Maharashtra and affiliated to Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University (RTMNU), Nagpur. The college offers four year Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech), two years Master of Technology (M.Tech) and three years Diploma course in Engineering.
VIT is a unique science and engineering institution located in the fast growing metropolis of Nagpur. The Institute was founded on the twin beliefs of harnessing students' latent abilities. Vidarbha Institute of Technology (VIT), Nagpur, offers Diploma in Mechanical Engineering and Electrical Engineering through the Centralized Admission Process (CAP) managed by the Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), Maharashtra. These programs are 3-year regular diplomas.
For lateral entry into the 2nd year, candidates must have completed a 3-year diploma in a relevant field. The eligibility criteria include passing the 10th class with at least 35% aggregate marks from a recognized board. The intake capacity for these diploma courses ranges from 60 to 120 seats, depending on the specialization
Admisison will be based on the MHT CET. MHT CET 2025 Registration has started for admission to BE/ B.Tech/ B.Pharm Courses for the academic year 2025-26. The last date to register online is February 15, 2025 without Late Fee and February 22, 2025 with a Late Fee of INR 500. Interested candidates can apply @cetcell.mahacet.org.
