What's New in Shri Guru Ram Rai PG College?
- HNBGU has released the provisional selection list for 4-year Integrated BA/ B.Ed./B.Sc. B.Ed./B.Com. B.Ed. (ITEP-Secondary) for the session 2024-25. The selected candidates have to report in person between October 04 – 09, 2024 to secure admission.
- 4th Merit List (Non-CUET) for admission to BA has been published. Shortlisted candidates must submit the admission fees through the Samarth Portal by Oct 8, 2024 (7 PM). Counselling of such candidates will be held on Oct 9 from 11 AM to 3 PM.
Shri Guru Ram Rai PG College was established in 1960 in Dehradun, Uttarakhand. The college is affiliated to Hemwati Nandan Bahuguna Garhwal University, Garhwal and is grade ‘A’ accredited by NAAC.

Shri Guru Ram Rai PG College has BA, B.Sc, B.Com, B.Ed. courses in its curriculum. The college offers 9 specializations in BA program and 11 specializations in B.Sc program. Admission to any UG program is given as per the merit of candidates in the qualifying examination.
Those who are seeking admission to BA and B.Com courses must have passed 10+2/ HSC or its equivalent qualifying examination conducted by a recognized University with minimum 40% marks (35% for SC/ ST/ OBC category) marks in aggregate. Key Points for Admission:
- Out of total 90% seats are reserved for domicile of Uttarakhand and 10% seats are reserved for the residents of other states.
- As per the norms of Government of Uttarakhand 10% seats are reserved for students of U.K. Board.
- Wards of college employees and teachers are given reservation of 10%.
- In case the strength of students in any subject is less than 10 then no teaching arrangement is made for that subject and applicants have to choose some other subject.

SGRR PG College offers Master’s program in various subjects with multiple specializations. Applicants who are seeking admission to full-time MA, M.Sc, M.Com, MSW, M.Ed., PG Diploma course are admitted to the respective course strictly on the basis of their merit in the qualifying examination followed by interview.
Minimum eligibility criteria for the applicants who have applied for MA program is BA Degree in relevant specialization, similarly for M.Sc minimum eligibility requirement is B.Sc in respective discipline, the eligibility requirement of M.Com is B.Com, for M.Ed. it is B.Ed., and for PG Diploma and MSW course eligibility requirement is pass in any Bachelor Degree course.

Key Points for Admission:
- MA/ MSc students shall appear in only those optional subjects that are taught in the college as per the norms of the University.
- Application of ex-students is considered for casual admission only if seats are available in the course.
- Students must submit separate application form for more than one subject.

- Click on “Online Registration” link.
- Register yourself and enter your Name, mobile no., email id, Aadhar No., and password and hit “Register Me”.
- On completing the form an OTP will be sent to your registered mobile no.
- Click on “Verify OTP” link.
- Now fill your personal details in the registration form and submit it.
- Log in to your account and click on “Apply for admission” link.
- Fill in the application form.
- Upload all the documents in .jpg format.

Scholarship
The college offers a number of scholarship to its meritorious, economically weak students and those who belong to reserved category. Scholarship to the SC/ ST/ OBC candidates is provided as per the norms of the Government. Here is the list of scholarships offered:
- Arvind Bandhu Memorial Gyan Jyoti Scholarship: INR 2100 is given to the meritorious students of MA English (Final year).
- Kamla Chaudhary Memorial Gyan Jyoti Scholarship: INR 2100 is awarded to the meritorious students of BA Part-III.
- Sahara Group Scholarship: INR 15, 000 to INR 45, 000 is awarded to the NCC cadets.
- Cadet Welfare Society Scholarship: INR 5000 is given to the NCC cadets.

The fee is reliable according to the course and there is no other reason for me to opt this college over other colleges . No I didn't get rejection from other Colleges because I have had in my mind that I only want to join this college as this college is close to my area of living.

I applied in gehu, shivalik and dev bhumi and as I mentioned that this college is the one of the best college as professors are so good and it is centrally located, no I didn't get a rejection it is the one i choose from all and i am here in Admission process is very easy you should have 55 +% in you 12th and adhaar card , photo 10 th marksheet,

Applied to Doon University and GBPUAT, did not get the subject of mt choice in councelling in GBPUAT and Doon University the staff was very rude while the applying process. SGRRU has a great staff and the environment felt likely to study so I chose it.

Eligibility is 12th pass with PCB and neet qualified application form are available on counselling website and reservation benefits counseling is done by State government for admission there is no admission without neet qualification

- Faculties are not regular teachers get changed time to time
- Semester is ended in 4 months....and sometimes syllabus is not completed

There is no entrance exam for the admission We can apply for admission if seats are available for the course. we can find application forms online and in college admission cell There are some compensation for army student or sports quota students but not for everyone and scholarship for toppers in 12th

No eligibility of course anyone can take the course. You can find the application form in the college office I don't know much about reservation benefits The timing of college is morning 9 to 5 AM. The addmission process is good

- It has the best placement results and many top leading companies come here and give placement to our students at their companies

- The washroom of our university is not cleaned
- Spoiled environment..students are more interested in other activities apart from studies

The admission process of our university (Shri guru Ram Rai University) is not that much expensive..but there are to many process to take admission in this college. . which i didn't like it ..but I siya bhandari ..I had generated my exam form late due to which my admit card was not made. I had to pay a fine of Rs 5000 for generating my admit card which is very expensive..

Eligibility of the course is You must have Physics, Chemistry and Maths in 12th class It is compulsory Searched for the application form on the official website of the college and I also got to know the application dates from there. There is no reservation . The frequency and timings of exams are very difficult. They finish the six-month semester in just three to four months. First of all, you should make the entire admission process online, this will eliminate the burden of long queues

No entrance exam needed. Admission based on class 12 result. Maths in class 12 is recommended but not compulsory for admission. Students from any stream can avail this course.
