Ramakrishna Mission Vidyamandira: A Life Changing Experience

The experience of hostel life and the close sense of community that is formed during my stay has been instrumental in my growth and the strict implementation of discipline in our daily lives enriched me and changed my life for the better.
The college has an ideal atmosphere for studying and the hostel accommodation allowed for close bonding with seniors who helped us out in studies as well as personal matters. The teachers are extremely talented and treated us with care and respect.

Dislikes

The average food quality in the mess could be better. Again it is not always the best but for the most part it is decent.

Hostel Facilities:

Hostel facilities are provided by the college and the rooms are great for the most part. If you're lucky you can even get rooms attached to bathrooms. Any technical faults in the room like light and fan problems as well as bathroom facilities are handled by the maintenance department. They're very efficient and hardworking and any problem is solved within 12 hrs. Students have their personal cupboards and tables and capacity of the rooms ranges from minimum 5 to maximum 10 people. There is a common bathroom on every floor and a common bathing and washing space in every hostel. The meal quality is decent. Rice, daal, another vegetable preparation and fish(non-veg) and curd(veg) every morning and egg and chapati/rice and daal every night. The quality is not always the best, but it is good enough so that one will not fall sick. On Sundays, chicken/paneer preparations are made and everyday 4pm some snacks are provided to the students.

This is a residential college, so we have to stay at our hostels. Hostels are provided with no extra elegibility tests and every student must stay at hostels. The hostel accomodations are moderate, but cozy. The mess is also so so. The menu includes daily fish and egg, wit occasional chicken curry, provided on Sundays. The afternoon tiffin is though made delicious sometimes. The room conditions are a little congested as you have to stay with around 4 to 7 people in a room.

Light , fan and charnging point and a shelf is here for all student. Almost mothly 5k for college and mess bill total. 4 times food provided all are healthier . While admitting here registraion of hostel also dobe for every different year students different hostels .

Hostels are also excellent. 5 students stay in one room. 4 times food is provided. Both veg and non-veg options are available. The food is just as we have in the home. The hostel ambiance is awesome and a ragging-free campus.

5 students are allotted a room with two fan and 2 light. Meal quality is average or below average side as there is many students with below middle class family background Menu is varrying depending upon student chose. As it is a residential college you will be automatically allotted a Hostel in very low price

Hostel Facilities:

The college is fully residential and only for boys. There are 5 hostel buildings. Each building has its own superintendent maharaj. Every room has 4 cupboards, 4 beds, 4 tables, 2 celling fans. Each floor has drinking water facility, bathroom and latrine. Every hostel building has one prayer hall where all students have to come everyday twice in the early morning and in the evening wearing dhoti and punjabi. Mess food is differentiated as breakfast, meal, tiffin, dinner. The food is very good quality and in proper amount.

Hostel rooms are sharing. You have to share rooms with 3 or 4 other students. College is residential. So, you must stay at hostel (don't think about availability of seats). No PGs available. You can't choose your room. It will be allocated by the hostel authority.

Hostel charge-?600, mess charge-? 1500 ( varies from -?1300-?1800), facilities were good,although android mobile were not allowed but we had internet kiosk for academic purposes and laptops are allowed from 6am to 10 pm then for the rest of the night you hve to submit it to hostel warden in hostel office of individual hostel,and you can take it on next morning.
