The Zoology department, led by HOD Kalyan Deka, has 10 committed teachers known for their supportive nature, with the HOD being recognized for his strict yet approachable style. Students undergo three exams per semester—two sessionals and a final exam organized by Guwahati University. While there are no placements for B.Sc students, the college provides various internships aimed at enhancing skills in practical fields like mushroom farming and fisheries.
Admission fees for students not belonging to the Economically Weaker Section (EWS) range from 7,000 to 10,000 rupees, while others benefit from free admission if their annual family income is below 2,00,000 rupees, thanks to a government scheme. The annual fee for a bachelor's degree in science is 7,480 rupees. Additionally, a variety of government and NSP scholarships are available to eligible students. Fee adjustments are beyond the college's control and are set by the Assam government.
