NAS College Ph.D. (Sanskrit) Admission 2026-27

Admission to the PhD programme in Sanskrit at NAS College is conducted through the CCSU PhD admission process. The university releases a department-wise list of eligible supervisors and seats. Candidates must apply online, appear for the entrance test (if applicable), and attend an interview at the college. For the 2026-27 session, admissions are expected to follow a similar timeline as 2025-26.

Eligibility Criteria

• Candidates must have passed MA in Sanskrit from a recognised university with a minimum of 55% marks (50% for SC/ST candidates).
• Candidates who have qualified UGC NET/JRF in Sanskrit are eligible and may be exempted from the entrance test as per UGC PhD Regulations 2022.
• Candidates with M.Phil in Sanskrit are also eligible.

Admission Process

• Register on the CCSU official portal (ccsuniversity.ac.in) during the PhD application window.
• Fill in the online application form and upload required documents (MA marksheets, NET/JRF certificate if applicable, research proposal/synopsis).
• Pay the application fee as per CCSU norms.
• Appear for the CCSU PhD entrance test (if applicable) or submit NET/JRF certificate for exemption.
• Attend the interview/viva at the Department of Sanskrit, NAS College, as per the CCSU schedule.
• Confirm admission and register as a research scholar under an approved supervisor.

NAS College Ph.D. (Sanskrit) Scholarships 2026-27

PhD scholars at NAS College can avail several fellowships and scholarships. UGC JRF/SRF holders receive a monthly stipend. State government scholarships are also available for SC/ST/OBC candidates.
