NAS College Meerut Admission 2025 FAQs

Ques. Are there reserved seats or quotas at the time of admission?

Ans. Yes, NAS College adheres to the reservation guidelines of the Uttar Pradesh government. Seats are reserved for SC, ST, OBC (Non-Creamy Layer), EWS, and PwD candidates. Besides that, a girls' quota and freedom fighter/defense personnel quota can also be applicable, depending on the course. Candidates need to upload genuine supporting documents at the time of application and produce originals while getting verified. The college provides reasonable representation with these quotas and ensures transparency through CCSU's centralized admissions system.

Ques. What are the general cutoffs and selection criteria for popular programs such as B.Sc, B.Com, or B.A.?

Ans. Admissions at NAS College are merit-based, and cutoffs may differ every year based on demand and the scores of applicants. For popular courses such as B.Sc. (Maths/Biology) or B.Com., the cutoff tends to be between 75% and 85% for the general category in the first merit list. Arts courses such as B.A. will have slightly more lenient cutoffs, beginning at 65%. Cutoffs for PG courses are based on marks obtained in corresponding undergraduate courses. Self-financed as well as vocational courses might follow slightly variant criteria but accept students with good academic performance.

Ques. Are there any distinct admission provisions for self-financed or professional courses such as BBA, BCA, or M.Sc. (Biotech)?

Ans. Yes, NAS College has a few self-financed and professional courses like BBA, BCA, and M.Sc. Biotechnology, which have slightly different admission procedures. These courses have limited seats and tend to fill up soon on the basis of first-come, first-served merit. Although applications continue to pass through the CCSU admission portal, it is recommended that students apply early. There are instances where the college performs internal counseling or aptitude interactions for some professional courses. Such courses tend to have higher tuition charges than standard government-aided courses.

I choose NAS college because it was the best among neighbouring colleges as there were regular classes as compared to other colleges and the students were also good as compared to other colleges, during my admission I filled NAS college as my first preference Meerut College as my second preference and DN college as my third luckily I got selected in the second list of NAS college and Meerut College studies were fine but the students were all stupid and engaged in all fights and other activities and in DN college studies were not so good After I got selected for admission in NAS college in second merit list cause I scored 84% in 12th and the 1st list closed at 90% so I got selected in second list which closed at 82% then I went to college to pay the registration fees and fill the admission for and got it signed by the college proctor It was a simple process but it was lengthy cause there were queues and it was time consuming around 2 to 3 hours overall experience was fine.
