Government Engineering College, Palanpur, is a prestigious engineering college in the state of Gujrat. The college was started in the year 2009 and is affiliated to Gujrat Technological University.

GEC Palanpur currently offers B. Tech programs in 4 disciplines, viz. Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Mining Engineering. The yearly intake is 60 students for each course.

Online mode of application is allowed. Candidates can register and apply through Gujarat Common Entrance Test GUJCET website.
10+2 in Science stream with minimum 45% marks is required to be eligible for B. Tech programs.

GCE Palanpur B.Tech Admission 2024

Government Engineering College, Palanpur offers B. Tech programs in 4 disciplines. The minimum eligibility criteria for admission is 10+2 in Science stream with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as compulsory subjects. A minimum percentile of 45% is further required of all applicants in order to qualify for admission.

Selection of candidates is done on the basis of marks/ rank secured by the applicant in GUJCET, which is followed by a counselling session conducted on a state level. A final merit list of the candidates is declared after counselling process. Candidates can apply for his/her desired course by submitting the application form online through the Gujarat Secondary And Higher Secondary Education Board (GSEB) website.

Key points for B.Tech admission:

GCE Palanpur Application Process 2024

Applicants seeking admission through GUJCET can apply online by visiting the GSEB website. New applicants are required to register their candidature before filling the online application form. Candidates can obtain the information brochure and PIN for registration by paying INR 350 at any of the listed “help centers” assigned by the board. A unique user ID and password will be generated which the candidate will need to use for future correspondence.

The process of online application post registration is as follows:

The candidate must obtain a DD of INR 300 in favor of "Secretary, Gujarat Common Entrance Test Cell” payable at Gandhinagar.
Scanned copies of passport-size photograph and signature must be kept handy at the time of filling the application form.
All relevant personal and educational details should be filled correctly.
After filling all the requisite details, the applicant will then need to upload the scanned copies of photograph and signature in the specified format.
The applicant should review all the particulars before submitting the application form.
Upon submission of application form, a unique application number will be created for each applicant which he/she will need to preserve for future correspondence.
A printout of the completed application form and self-attested photocopies of the required documents (including demand draft) must be submitted at nearby help Centre.
The requisite acknowledgment slip after submission of registration form is to be collected from the Help Centre.

The real experience at gec palanpur

Admission:

I applied for ld engineering and vishwakarma and more and I got in vishwakarma but I rejected it for government engineering college palanpur because it is more stress free than vishwakarma I applied for nit surat, iit Gandhinagar but I couldn't make it because of my low performance in jee The admission process is simple first you have to fill the acpc form than it will confirm your seat based on your grade than come to college with document and that's it and the eligibility is different every year but in my year it is based on acpc rank and jee mains rank Overall admission experience is little hard for me because it's my first time taking admission on my own so it is hard but with some instruction it is went well

About my college and graduation experience

Admission:

In Gujarat state, After complete 12th board exame and jee exame. When result declare ,then after within 10-15day they share a jee pin for engineering from local bank provide 200-300rs and after login that id and password to government website then choose branch ,college,department,subjecting,etc.there are 3 round to get enrolled and after 3 round extra 2round for low percentage students.

Admission:

After 12th, and JEE results are counting in 40 and 70 percentage ratio and the merits list is declared this merit list number are use for applying the different colleges admission. Generaly this process are running in three round.when we select the college for 1st round and results was declared in few days.after if our merit number is selected for college we got the admission and otherwise if we don't like the college then we choose the next round.
