College of Engineering Pathanapuram B.Tech Admission 2024

The college offers B.Tech and B.Tech Lateral Entry in five specialization. The intake capacity for B.Tech Programme is 60 seats for each of the specializations.

For B.Tech, admission is made as per the rank obtained by eligible candidates in the state-level Common Entrance Exam conducted by the Commissioner of Entrance Examination (CEE), Kerala State. The aspirants who fail to meet the eligibility criteria will be eliminated from the admission process.

Admission in B.Tech Lateral is done on the basis of marks scored in an entrance test titled B.Tech Lateral Entry Entrance Examination (LET) conducted by the Directorate of Technical Education, Government of Kerala.

Key points for Admission:

60% of the seats in the College will be allotted by the CEE as per the reservation policy of the Government.
35% of seats under Management quota are also allotted by the CEE on merit basis.
5% of the seats are reserved for N.R.I. candidates.
SC/ST candidates need only a pass in the qualifying examination for admission to B.Tech course.

KEAM Application Process

The applicant must purchase Security Key Card and information brochure through the designated Post Offices assigned by the CEE board.
Candidate are then required to apply for KEAM by logging on to the Kerala CEE website
The applicant should select the course/courses which he/she desires to study while applying online.
Copy of the printout of the complete application form must be retained for future reference.
A copy of the printout of the application form should be sent to CEE board on or before the last date.

Life in PEC

Admission:

I get this college as a merit seat. I had written the KEAM entrance exam and I got this college according to the rank I got in that entrance exam. We have to give some options of college for the allotment criteria. I choose Government Colleges first but I didn't get as my rank is less when compared to the ranks taken by the government college. Next I preferred government aided colleges and I placed my college as the first option as it is under cape , and I could be a day scholar as this is of less distance from my home. I didn't face any interviews or anything at the time of admission as I got a merit seat.

When i was choose my college i don't know about how to choose an engineering college, i only consider the google rating and i can find this college had a 5/5 rating, and my KEAM rank was 24,530-24,700 something, so i think this is an better option for me and at that time this college was the first rank in cape gov college list, and after 7 government college list this college is my first option, for students who like to join in this college can take admission through Keam entrence exam or through management

Admission:

I applied to this college because it was under the cape govt and not any other privately owned universities. Before here I recieved confirmed admission from Carmel college of engineering ,royal College of engineering, ilahia college of engineering etc. The admission process is mostly through KEAM and students can take seat from management also

You can get into this college easily if you get passed in KEAM examination. There aren't much students right now so you can get merit seat easily. Mechanical and Electrical Electronics branches are at verge of shutting down due to lack of students.

My experience on my academic career.

Admission:

I wrote KEAM examination for admission to Kerala engineering colleges. I got a rank around 20k and got an admission in one of the colleges under CAPE. The students who studied science Stream are eligible to write the exam. The syllabus of the exam include Maths, Physics and chemistry. There is reservation for OBC,SC,ST and others. The exam will be conducted once in every year. The application form is available in the Keam website.
