A leading institution of Kerala, the College of Engineering Kottarakkara came into existence in the year 2004 in Kollam. The college is affiliated to Cochin University of Science and Technology (CUSAT), Kochi.

College of Engineering Kottarakkara offers B.Tech courses in Computer Science & Engineering and Electronics & Communication Engineering with an intake of 60 students each. Candidates must have scored a minimum of 45% marks in 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as compulsory subjects to be eligible for admission.

The selection of the candidates in B.Tech is based on the rank achieved in KEAM, followed by personal interview.

As the college conducts an offline mode of application processing, the candidates must register themselves for KEAM on the respective official website. To apply for admission in the college, the candidates have to follow the below mentioned procedure:

Obtain the prospectus and application form from the admission office of the college for INR 500.
Fill the application form correctly.
Affix the photographs on the designated places in the form.
Attach the documents mentioned below –

3. KEAM Admit Card, Date sheet and Score Card
4. TC and Character Certificate
5. Migration Certificate
6. Caste Certificate, if applicable

I have applied to all government colleges. So I have basically done by BTech degree in Computer Science and Engineering from College of Engineering Kottarakkara anyone can avail admission to this college by writing an entrance exam called Kerala Engineering and Medical Entrance exam also known as keam. Minimum eligibility for writing this sentence exam is 12th grade. Application form for this entrance exam can be found in the website called CE Kerala this website is the website of the controller of entrance examinations for various examinations conducted by the state of Kerala.No reservation benefits were availed by me as I am a General categories student. The exam is basically of 3 hours and it consist of physics,chemistry and maths and the exam is much easier compared to JEE exams. after writing this exam, a rank list is published based on the mark you scored in the exam and the marks scored by you in Physics Maths and Chemistry in your 12th grade. after that you can get admission in your preferred college according to rank
