Fees and Financial Aid:
The fee structure of the college based on semester system. Each semester has a fees of Rs.750 along with examination fees of Rs. 250. The course has total 10 semesters so the total course fees is Rs. 7500. Apart from that there is an admission fees of Rs 2000 at the beginning of the course whihc includes caution fees, sports fees, library charges, electricity fees, medical fees etc. The other categories like OBC, SC, ST have a comparitively lower fees as per the state government guidelines. The college itself does not provide any scholarship but the students are eligible for governemnt scholarship suhc OASIS, Swami Vivekananda scholarship, Kanyashree etc which is based on merit cum need.

The fee is one of the lowest, around 1550 per year. In addition, the examination fee is 250/—per semester, which adds up to 2000 per year.
The library fee is 1000/- which is payable only at the time of admission.
The hostel fee is 2000 per year, including 1500/- as the charges for food each month.
Besides, there are scholarships for students who could not afford the fee, like the Swami Vivekananda merit cum means scholarship (12000/- per year), Oasis Scholarship (8300/- per year) and for OBC (13000/- per year)

Since I'm in the Department of Law, university of Calcutta, main campus, the fee is minimal. During admission you'll be required to pay a fee of 1895/- and 750/- as semester fee and 250/- as examination fee. It is the lowest in terms of other law colleges.
The total cost that will be incurred by me till the final year will stand around 15-20k including the price of the books.
Students can enroll their names in different scholarships like Kanyasree Prakalpa and Swami Vivekananda scholarship. The scholarship amount generally ranges from 1000/- per month in Kanyasree Prakalpa and 12,000/- for Swami Vivekananda scholarship for students pursuing this course.
Since this is a government college, it offers no placements but one can apply for practice/internship through the members of the Union.

Tuition fees in Department of Law, Calcutta University is the lowest possible fees available all around the world. The total course fee is around 10k. It does not have any hidden charges as it is a government college. You can avail number of scholarships.

Study cost is not much higher as compared to private colleges as private colleges also increases the fees according to the needs but here the college can take only the allowed amount of fees as prescribed by the University of Calcutta and even you can join the college from different quotas available and in the last semester you also get many internship. Many recruiters from big firms come to the college and provide jobs.

I don't availed any scholarship or loan from our college. As it is a Govt. College there is no need for loan. But there are scope for scholarship from the University for the students. It is given from the interest of the funds donated by some kind hearted man.

Yes, one has to appear for the CLAT entrance exam to be eligible for the BA. LLB admission.
LLM is a 2-year course at the campus for which the minimum academic qualification is LLB or equivalent with 50% marks from a recognised board or institution.
