Ques. What is the difference between D.Pharma and B.Pharma? Which is better for a career in pharmacy?
Ans. D.Pharma is a 2-year diploma program that qualifies graduates to work as pharmacists at the dispensing level, while B.Pharma is a 4-year degree program that opens up more advanced career options including research, manufacturing, and regulatory affairs. For students who want to enter the pharmacy field quickly and at a lower cost, D.Pharma is a good starting point. However, for long-term career growth and higher-paying roles, B.Pharma or M.Pharma is recommended. D.Pharma graduates can always upgrade to B.Pharma through the lateral entry route.
