Asian Workers Development Institute (AWDI) was established in the year 1981 under the Bastia Memorial Trust. It is affiliated to Sambalpur University. The college offers PGDM, PG Diploma Industrial Personnel Management (PGDIRPM), PG Diploma in Industrial Safety (PDIS), Diploma in Environmental Education Management (DEEM) and B.Lib. in various specializations.

CAT/MAT or JEE score is mandatory to secure admission in PGDM program followed by the performance in Group Discussion and Personal Interview.
PDIS admission is offered on the basis of merit in qualifying degree through Directorate of Technical Education and Training (DTE&T), Odisha followed by web-based counselling.
Admission to PGDIRPM, DEEM and B.Lib is direct and will be granted on first come first serve basis.
The application form is available in online and offline modes on the institute’s website.
The institute follows reservation policy in case of SC/ST/OBC/Minorities/PH and Women candidates as per the Government of Odisha norms.

AWDI, Rourkela PGDM & PGDIRPM Admission 2023

AWDI offers PGDM, PGDIRPM (intake 64), PDIS (intake 120) and B.LIb (intake 46). To be eligible for these courses, the candidates must have passed a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline.

Candidates appearing in the final year degree examination can also apply.
PGDM candidates will be admitted on the basis of CAT/MAT or JEE Main scores followed by Group Discussion and Personal Interview.

AWDI, Rourkela DEEM Admission 2023

The admission to Diploma in Environmental Education and Management (DEEM) program is granted on first come first serve basis. The total number of seats
offered is 24. The application form can only be obtained from the institute’s office on cash payment.

The institute invites applications from eligible candidates in online and offline modes. The steps to file an application are:

Online Process:

Online registration can be made under the ‘Admission’ tab by clicking on the link ‘Apply Online’.
Candidates have to follow the instructions and fill all the required personal and academic details.
On successful submission of the form, an Identification No (ID) will be allotted to the candidates that are required to be saved for future reference.
The application fee has to be paid in the form of DD from any nationalized bank in favor of "Asian Workers Development Institute" payable at Rourkela.

Offline Process:

Application form can also be purchased directly from the institute on cash payment or by sending the requisite application fee and submitting the same to AWDI by post.

My PGDM from AWDI

Admission:

I applied to the college with my MAT scores. Though, they also accepts other entrance exams like CAT, XAT, JEE, etc. My MAT score was pretty nominal but I finally I got the call for the counseling process. Counselling process consisted of GDPI rounds. GD round went pretty smoothly, but the PI round was pretty exhausting. Eventually, I was granted admission.
