Kalyani Mahavidyalaya Nadia BA {Hons.} History: Fees 2025, Course Duration, Dates, Eligibility

Eligibility-

A candidate may be admitted to the first semester of four-year(Eight Semester) UG-Courses of Studies on passing Higher Secondary (10+2) Examination in general conducted by the West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education or an equivalent examination conducted by other State Board/Council, or The W.B. Council of Rabindra Open Schooling, or The National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) recognized by the Distant Education Bureau(DEB) subject to fulfilment of the conditions mentioned below:

Candidates from 'other' Boards

In case of other Boards/Councils, a candidate shall have to pass in five recognized subjects, of which one shall be English, of full marks not being less than 100 each. A candidate passing in less than five subjects shall not be eligible for admission.

Kalyani Mahavidyalaya offers the B.A., B.Sc. and B. Com Honor’s courses. The B.A. course is offered in 8 specializations and the B.Sc. course is offered in 9 specializations. Applications to the B.A., B.Sc. and B. Com (honor’s) courses are accepted from candidates who have sufficient marks in the qualifying examination. Admission to the B. A., B.Sc. and B. Com Honor’s courses will be done on the basis of merit in the qualifying 10+2 examination.

1. The merit list will be drawn up by Kalyani Mahavidyalaya based on the applicants’ performance in 10+2 examinations.
2. Candidates belonging to the SC and ST categories receive a relaxation of 5% marks in the minimum marks required to satisfy the eligibility criteria.
3. While preparing the merit list, the scores in the main five subjects will be taken into account. One of these five subjects must be English.
4. Reservation under Sports Quota is also available subject to 1 seat in Honour’s course.
