Backed with the legacy of more than 65 years, Jagannath Kishore College aka J.K. College is recognized as a premier institute not only in Purulia but also is considered one of the best in West Bengal. Affiliated to Sidho Kanho Birsha University, the college established in 1948 is sponsored by the Government of West Bengal. The UGC recognized college responsible for the education of more than 5248 students was accredited by NAAC and obtained B+ Grade.

JK College Purulia offers undergraduate and postgraduate programs in 3 main streams i.e Arts, Commerce, and Science under various specializations. Admission to these courses is done strictly on the basis of marks secured in the previous qualifying examinations. Students are also required to go through a counseling process for final admission.

Selection Procedure

Candidates will be given admission based on the merit secured in the previous qualifying examinations. The process will be conducted in an ‘Online Admission System’ in all streams. The students will also be required to go through the counseling process. Admission will be made on the day of counseling after submitting the requisite amount of fees and documents. The merit list will be calculated from the aggregate of the best 4 subjects in 10+2 examination.

Candidates should apply online for registration and admissions on the college website https://www.jkcprl.ac.in/
Candidate should fill the form and submit a registration fee of INR 100 (other bank charges if applicable)
The college will display a merit list of candidates on the website. Selected candidates shall appear at the college on the day of counseling.
Candidate should appear with required documents for verification after which they can pay the fees and confirm their admission.

JK College Purulia Scholarship

Due to the nominal fee structure, the college doesn't offer an education loan facility. It doesn't have its scholarship programs but it accommodates the West Bengal Government initiated scholarships. It also offers some stipend to the poor and meritious students.

There is no facility of on-campus placement but the college through its career counseling centre offers help to students to secure a job after completion of studies. the education provided here is on par with other colleges and universities. Graduates here don't face issues in securing a job in the professional world.

First of all the environment of the college is so good to study, there were less academic pressures.
Teachers are much friendly and will guide and help you in whatever you want

Dislikes

Infrastructure can be upgraded. Buildings and Classrooms are not repaired bit old not.
College canteen is not up to the mark can be upgraded

Admission:

Admission process is simple. You will get admission on basis of your 12th marks that includes Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Biology papers. Merit list is prepared doing the sum of these above marks. Then you will be called on a specific date for the verifications. I choose or had to choose this College as I don't have good marks in 12th so other colleges where I applied didn't get chance and another reason is this College is near my home.

Likes

College campus is very big. Classrooms are spacious. Environment is good for study.
Food of our canteen is very hygienic and tasty.

Dislikes

Desk bench are not so comfortable to sit more than 2-3 hours.
Library has not much book and they give permission to issue only 2 books at a time.

Admission:

If you score minimum 75-80% (for general caste student)in your 12th board exams then you can easily get admission to our college. There is no addmission test required. If you are belongs to SC/ST and other caste then you get relaxation.

We have a very beautiful atmosphere in college.
There is anti ragging cell. And it is a crime for us.

Dislikes

Nothing is wrong with my college. Everything is good.
Bt there is one problem there is no placement.

Admission:

No. There is not any kind of entrance exam. Application process based on 12th board exam. The maximum cut off is 65%. College publish minimum 11 merit list for candidate selection. There is some reservation for SC, ST and OBC candidates.

J.K.College Purulia review

Admission:

Only pupils with PCM in 12th can apply with a minimum of 60%. Application forms can be filled in on the college website which doesn't charge you any penny. Application dates start after the declaration of the higher secondary results. Reservation doesn't work on a seat basis it gives relaxation in the percentage of marks in the merit list which is the procedure for admission, no admission test is taken. One of the best departments of this college is computer science after mathematics.

This college is no nice and way to affordable

Admission:

No need to do any kind of exams, the only thing you need is a better percentage. There are no application charges, and no reservations for ST, SC, OBC. This college is attendance free you don't need to come daily.

Admission:

After getting goods marks in higher secondary I got a chance in this collage. The candidates find the application form t from the online website of our collage .The application fess of our course is just about rs 4000 . THE application will start in the month of july-august in this year 2022. The admission process is very easy to understand and honestly. so, I don't think that any improvement is needed
