Venkateshwara Institute of Technology (VIT) is the Engineering wing of the renowned Venkatashwara Group of Institutions based in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh. It was established in 2007 and is affiliated to the Uttar Pradesh Technical University (UPTU), Lucknow, and recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC), New Delhi.
Venkateshwara Institute of Technology, Meerut offers a plethora of courses in the undergraduate and postgraduate level in various disciplines. Currently there are seven diploma programs that are being offered by the institute with an intake capacity of 60 seats per course. B.Tech program is offered in up to eight specializations with 60 seats per course. Additionally, there are BCA, BBA, B.Com, B.Ed., B.P.Ed., B. Lib., and B.Sc. courses that are being offered at the UG level. PG courses offered by the institute include 3 M. Tech specializations, 3 M.Sc. courses, M.Ed., MBA, and Ph.D. programs offered in up to 6 specializations.
- Candidates seeking admission under Management Quota must apply through the institute level application process only.
- Admission for B. Tech, M. Tech and MBA courses is through UPTU/ AKTU counselling.
- Reserved category candidates (SC/ ST/ OBC/ PwD) are allowed 5% relaxation in the minimum marks eligibility criteria. However, such candidates must produce caste / category certificate issued by the competent authority.
- B. Tech candidates are selected on the basis of UPSEE score through AKTU counselling.
- B. Tech candidates seeking admission under Management quota must secure at least 60% marks in the PCM group in the last qualifying exam.
- M. Tech candidates are selected on the basis of GATE score.
- BCA candidates must have Mathematics at 10+2 level, which is additionally a basic eligibility criterion.
- Candidates applying for MBA are selected on the basis of several parameters. 10 percent credit is given to marks obtained in the last qualifying exam, 40 percent to CET score, 20 percent credit given to Group Discussion, and the remaining 25 percent given to personal interview.
- Selection of eligible candidates to rest of the courses will be based on merit in the last qualifying examination.

The institute offers a B. Tech program in five specializations, which include Computer Science, Civil, Electronics and Communication, Mechanical and Automobile Engineering. The Institute offers undergraduate level degree programs in the fields of Management, Commerce, Education, Library Science, and Physical Education. UG degree programs include BBA, BCA, B.Ed., B.Com, B. P. Ed., B. Lib., in surplus of three B.Sc. Bio-Science courses.
The basic eligibility criteria for admission to B.Sc. courses is a pass in 10+2/ intermediate (Science stream). Candidates with 45% marks in 10+2 (any stream) are eligible for the BBA, BCA and B.Com programs.
For admission to B. P. Ed., and B. Lib. courses, graduation with 45% marks is the basic eligibility criteria. B.Ed. candidates must be graduates with minimum 55% marks. Candidates for all the UG programs are selected on the basis of merit in the qualifying examination.

VIT, Meerut offers postgraduate level degree programs in Management, Bio-Science, Education and Engineering. At PG level, the institute offers MBA, M.Tech in Biotechnology, Food Technology, and Agriculture. Additionally, it offers M.Ed. and M.Sc. courses for candidates who have completed their B.Ed. and B.Sc. program in the allied streams, respectively.
The basic eligibility criteria for admission to M. Tech is a B.E./ B. Tech. / M.Sc. degree in the relevant or allied discipline. Any graduate with 50% aggregate marks are eligible for the MBA program. The minimum marks eligibility criteria for M.Ed. and M.Sc. courses is 55 percentile in the last qualifying exam.

VIT, Meerut Diploma Admission 2024
VIT, Meerut offers undergraduate level diploma programs in various engineering disciplines, viz. Civil, Environment and Pollution Control, Electronics, Electrical, Mechanical and Computer Science. The institute also offers a diploma program in Pharmacy to candidates who have passed 10+2/ equivalent exam with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Biology / Biotechnology/ Computer Science.
Candidates who have passed in all subjects in the 10th standard are eligible to apply for the polytechnic diploma programs. Selection of candidates for the diploma courses is done on the basis of merit, i.e. marks obtained in the last qualifying exam. Venkateshwara Institute of Technology offers six Ph.D. programs in Biotechnology, Microbiology, Food Technology, Forestry, Agriculture and Horticulture. The basic eligibility criteria for admission to these programs is a Master’s degree in engineering the relevant or allied discipline from a recognized board or university.
Candidates must further fulfil the additional eligibility criterion of securing at least 45 percentile marks in the qualifying examination. Selection of candidates for the Ph.D. programs is based on selection test conducted on the institute level.
Candidates applying for the Ph.D. programs can directly contact the institute for admission enquiries. As for the application process, application forms are issued twice a year and can be collected from the institute campus upon payment of the prescribed application fee in cash.
