Here are the steps to apply for SMS Varanasi Admission.

Step 1: Check if Candidate are eligible

• For undergraduate courses (BBA, BCA, B.Com (Hons), BA (Hons) Mass Communication) candidates must have passed 10+2 (Intermediate) from a recognised board.
• For postgraduate courses (MBA, MCA, M.Com):
• For MBA: Candidates must have a graduate degree (any discipline) with at least 50% marks (or 45% for SC/ST). Final year students can apply.
• For MCA: Candidates should have Mathematics as a subject in 10+2 level or at graduation level, and minimum 50% marks (45% for SC/ST). Final year students can apply.

Step 2: Prepare the required documents & things

Before Candidate fill the online application form make sure Candidate have:

• A scanned colour passport-size photograph (in JPEG/PNG/GIF format, size not more than ~70 KB).
• A scanned signature of the candidate and the father/guardian (JPEG/PNG/GIF format, size not more than ~20 KB).
• An active email ID and a mobile number (because admit cards & test alerts will be sent).
• Payment method ready (Credit Card / Debit Card / Net Banking) to pay the application fee.
• The downloaded instruction sheet from the website (to guide candidates through the form).

Step 3: Fill the online application form

1. Choose whether candidates are applying for Graduate (UG) or Post-Graduate (PG) level.
2. If UG: Select one of BBA / BCA / B.Com (Hons) / BA (Hons) Mass Communication. (If a candidate applies for more than one course Candidate’ll have to fill separate forms for each.)

   If PG: Choose among MBA / MCA / M.Com.

3. Fill in Candidate Name exactly as it appears in Candidate Class 10 certificate/marksheet.
4. Fill in Candidate Correspondence Address (street, city, state, pin-code) and Permanent Address. If they are the same, check the box.
5. Enter parent’s email, mobile number, Candidate date of birth, gender, category, father’s name, mother’s name, annual income, Aadhaar number, PAN number.
6. Enter Candidate educational qualification details: board/university name, stream, year, maximum marks, obtained marks/CGPA, division. If Candidates are a final-year student appearing this year, choose “APPEARING”.
7. For PG courses also mention if the candidate has professional experience (yes or no). If yes, give years, organisation name and job description.
8. Upload Candidate photo and signature in the prescribed format.
9. For PG courses: if candidates have taken entrance tests like CUET / CAT / XAT / CMAT / MAT / UPSEE, mention the registration number, score / percentile / rank.
10. Type the captcha code shown in the image (it is case sensitive).
11. Tick the declaration: “I hereby declare …” After Candidate check Candidate all entries.

Step 4: Pay the application fee and submit

• For UG courses (BBA, BCA, B.Com (Hons), BA (Hons) Mass Communication): the application fee is INR 500.
• For PG courses (MBA, MCA, M.Com): the fee is INR 1,000.
• Use the online payment gateway (cards / net-banking). The fee is non-refundable once paid.
• After submitting, the candidate may print the filled form and the fee receipt.

Step 5: Entrance Test & Further Process

• For UG programmes: There is an online entrance test for UG programmes. The date will be announced on the website.
• After the form submission and fee payment, await further instructions from the institution (admit card, test date, etc.).
• Follow any other additional steps if notified (interview, counselling, document verification etc.).

Step 6: Admission Offer & Finalisation

• If a candidate qualifies (via entrance test / merit / criteria), Candidate’ll receive the admission offer.
• Candidates need to complete the formalities: pay course fee, submit original documents for verification, attend orientation (if required).
• Ensure candidates keep copies of all Candidate submitted forms, fee receipts, admit card, etc.

Some handy tips to make it smoother

• Double-check spelling of Candidate name, parent’s name, and Candidate date of birth exactly as on official documents.
• Keep Candidate photograph and signature file sizes within the limits given (photo ≤ ~70 KB, signature ≤ ~20 KB).
• Use a valid email and mobile number, because all updates will be sent there.
• Before submitting the form, preview or check all fields carefully — corrections after submission may be difficult.
• Save or print the acknowledgement / receipt after submission and payment.
