Institute of Professional Studies and Research (IPSAR) was established in the year 1988, it is a private institution which is located in the city of Cuttack, Odisha, India. The institute is affiliated to Biju Patnaik University of Technology, Rourkela. UG Courses are affiliated to Utkal University, Odisha.

IPSAR offers BBA and BCA courses at the undergraduate level and Master of Business Administration (MBA) and Master of Computer Application (MCA) degree courses at the postgraduate level. 

Admissions to the BCA and BBA program is done on the basis of rank secured by candidates in AIMA-UGAT or IPSAR Admission Test (IAT) or Merit Basis. 

Admissions to the MBA program is done on the basis of rank secured by the candidates in OJEE/CAT/MAT/XAT/CMAT or ATMA examination. Admission to the MCA program is done on the basis of OJEE (Odisha Joint Entrance Examination) conducted by the Government of Odisha. At the PG level, the institute offers a two-year-long MBA program with affiliation to the Biju Patnaik University of Technology (BPUT) and approval of AICTE, New Delhi.

IPSAR Cuttack MBA Eligibility

At IPSAR, MBA aspirants must possess a Bachelor's Degree examination of minimum three years duration with a minimum of 50% marks (45% in case of candidate belonging to SC/ST category) in the qualifying examination.

There is no particular age restriction for admission to the MBA course. Candidates awaiting their final degree examination are also eligible for admission to the program. 

IPSAR Cuttack MBA Selection Criteria

Since the PG programs at IPSAR are affiliated to the Biju Patnaik University of Technology, Rourkela, Admission to the MBA program is implemented by Odisha Joint Entrance Examination (OJEE) under Policy Planning Board of Govt. of Odisha.

The selection process will be done on the basis of the score secured by the candidate in the OJEE/CAT/XAT/MAT/CMAT/ATMA exam followed by a Personal Interview. Selected candidates must carry all the necessary documents such as- OJEE allotment Letter, self-attested photocopies of mark sheets, transfer certificate, copy of bank deposit slip, anti-ragging affidavit, and student's undertaking by the student & parent/guardian.

At the PG level, the institute also offers a two-year-long MCA program, admission to the program is offered through Normal and Lateral Entry.

IPSAR Cuttack MCA Eligibility

The institute follows a simple eligibility criteria for admission to the MCA program- The applicants must possess a Bachelor's Degree Examination of a minimum of three years' duration with Math in +2 level with a minimum of 50% (45% in case of candidate belonging to SC/ST category) marks in the qualifying examinations.

Students appearing in their final degree examinations are also permitted to apply for the entrance test. There is no age limit for admission to the MCA course.

IPSAR Cuttack MCA Selection Criteria

The institute follows a stringent admission policy, admission is granted solely on the basis of the candidate’s performance in the Odisha Joint Entrance Examination (OJEE). The selection of candidates will be made on the basis of Rank Card in OJEE results, for which they have to appear in the examination conducted by OJEE.

Selected candidates on the basis of the entrance examination will be called for Personal Interview and Group Discussion.

Computer Applications. The duration of both the BBA and BCA courses is three years each.

Candidates willing to take admission to the BBA or BCA program must have passed the Higher Secondary Examination from Council of Higher Secondary education, Odisha or any other equivalent examination to be considered eligible to take part in the admission process.

IPSAR Cuttack UG Selection Criteria

Admissions to the BBA and BCA courses are done on the basis of merit in the IPSAR Admission Test (IAT) conducted by the institute itself or through the Undergraduate Aptitude Test (UGAT) conducted by All India Management Association (AIMA). 

Admission is also done through Merit basis on previous academic records followed by Personal Interview. Candidates are shortlisted on the basis of their performance in the above-mentioned examinations for the Personal Interview.
