Can someone share their interview experience of MBA from DMS, IIT Delhi?
My friend was an Economics fresher and appeared for an MBA interview at DMS, IIT Delhi. The answer is courtesy of his experience with the panelists.
The entire procedure comprised of WAT, Documents Verification, ECA document verification, and PI
Everything was done systematically and in an organized manner. The WAT was a 30-minute process and she was made to write on Outsourcing. After the ECA, she was escorted to the interview room where she found 2 female panelists.
They asked for her brief introduction, something that is more than just her name and educational background. On hearing about her passion for writing she asked what kind of writing she was into.
Owing to her interest in hockey, they asked her some related questions like
- what improvements does the Indian Hockey team need
- Who was her role model from the team and why
- Why she did not pursue a hockey career
- Did she choose the game because of it being the national game ( which it is not thus being a trick)
Next she was asked about her School life, age, and past academics. She walked if she had any prior working experience. Being an economics student they asked her
- What is elasticity and asked her to draw a graph
- They asked her what would happen if the demand for a water bottle would be increased
Lastly they asked her about her weakness after which she was asked to leave. The overall interview was a good experience mainly because the panelists, one of which was an alumnus, were friendly and lightened the tension.

Why/why not MBA from IIT Delhi(DMS)?
While many MBA aspirants consider nothing better than IIMs, I have an altogether different opinion in this regard. This opinion stems from my sister's experience last year when she completed her MBA from DMS, IIT Delhi.
- IIT Delhi is a magical place that harnesses your talents to the fullest and helps you identify your strengths and overcome your weaknesses.
- An excellent peer group promotes healthy competition and growth
- The overall ambiance and culture at the IIT combined with the rich alumni base make it possible to gain an enriching experience.
- The older the institute and program the more brand value it carries. IITs MBA program dates back to 1997 and fulfills this age criterion excellently.
- The most important is the fees which are less than half the fees of other top B Schools. This results in great return on investment with the placements being almost on par with most B Schools
- The small batch size of 120 promotes great peer interactions as well as student-teacher relations.
I certainly don’t mean to undermine the B schools, what I mean is IIT Delhi DMS is not that bad an idea for an MBA.
Which institute should I choose among DMS IIT Delhi and IIM Udaipur?
When considering their decision to enroll in DMS IIT Delhi, several factors stood out as particularly compelling to the individual. In the hope that future aspirants will benefit from this information, they have listed the following arguments.

I think IIT Delhi is one of the institutions to go for Engineering, technology, and management studies as compared to IIFT Delhi IIM Shillong or DMS in terms of brand value.
- IITs hold a better brand value in terms of their academic standards, research opportunities, faculties members, alumni network, and more.
- The placement records for IIT are also excellent with an overall 87% being offered placement opportunities.
- Students have managed to crack the international package of INR 2 CPA and a domestic package of INR 1 CPA.
- Some of the top recruiters for IIT Delhi are India, Microsoft, Texas Instruments, Goldman Sachs, Bajaj Auto, etc.
Which college should I choose for an MBA, DMS IIT Delhi or IIM Kozhikode? Please state the reason considering the factors like batch size, ROI, location, etc.
Bring a student of IIT Delhi myself, I can tell you that opting for an MBA from DMS IIT Delhi is a better choice than IIM Kozhikode.

The intake for the M.Des program in IIT Hyderabad is not available.
Which is better for an MBA IMT Ghaziabad or DMS IITD?
Department of Management Studies or DMS IIT Delhi is one of the top 5 management colleges in the country.
DMS IIT Delhi is known for its flagship full-time MBA and MBA Telecom programs. Admission to these courses is entrance based. The college accepts CAT scores and the application can be filled out online by visiting the DMS IIT Delhi website. The minimum cutoff for MBA and MBA Telecom Program at DMS IIT Delhi is 90 percentile. However, the actual cutoff for admission remains around the 98-99 percentile.
As compared to IMT Ghaziabad, DMS IITD is a way better option to pursue an MBA. But admission is definitely harder than that of IMT Ghaziabad.
