How to apply for the UG program?

Documents required

• Properly filled subject selection and undertaking forms from Manual.
• Original School Leaving Certificate
• Two copies of 12th Marksheet
• Photocopy of Caste Certificate / Ex-Servicemen Certificate / Physically Disabled Certificate.
• Photocopy of Annual Income Certificate for EBC students
• Eligibility form and Anti-Ragging Form.

Application process:

• Fill the admission form available on the official website of the institute http://ycis.ac.in/
• Submit the hardcopy of the application form along with the attested documents in the college office for the general merit list.
• The merit list will be announced by the college on the college website.

Eligibility Criteria 

• Candidate must possess a B.Sc degree in relevant discipline except for Biotechnology.
• Biotechnology graduates must have any Life Science degree. 

Selection Criteria

• The selection of the candidates will be done on the combined merit basis of Entrance Exam (50%) and the qualifying examination (50%) of Shivaji University, Kolhapur.
• Category Reservation criteria are as per the govt. rule and management quota is 15% merit-based.
• Entrance Examination for M.Sc is conducted online
  • The pattern will be MCQ based and each question carries 2 marks.
  • The total duration will be 1 hour and will be conducted online.
  • Syllabus includes: 10% each for B.Sc Part I & II; 80% from Part III of the concerned subject.

• The examination fee can be paid through bank deposit or any UPI account which will be non-refundable.

M.LIB. & I.Sc. are offered as a full time and regular course. Details have been given below:

Candidates must have a degree in B.Lib & I.Sc.

Selection Criteria

M.Lib & I.Sc. admission selection is merit based.

• Based on the entrance examination conducted by Shivaji University. 
• Students who qualify for national level examination like UGC-NET or JRF are eligible to appear directly for the interview at YCIS Satara.

How to apply for the PG program?

Application Process:

• Candidate must fill the online application form on the institute website http://ycis.ac.in/
• Pay the Entrance Examination Fee of INR 300 for regular application and INR 500 for delayed application through demand draft drawn in favor of ‘The Principal, Yashwantrao Chavan Institute of Science, Satara.’
• Candidates can also pay the examination fee through cash at the institute office or through bank deposit on the given bank details.
• The candidate should submit the print out of the application form along with the receipt of the payment or Demand Draft by post or courier or submit in person to the Controller of the Examination, YCIS, Satara within specific dates.
