YCIS Satara was established in 1958 and was christened in 1986. It is a reputed government-aided science institute and is affiliated to Shivaji University, Kolhapur (SUK). The institute has been accredited and re-accredited by NAAC with an ‘A’ grade.
YCIS Satara has been tagged as 'College with Potential for Excellence' by UGC and for FIST (FUNDS for IMPROVEMENT IN SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY) by DST. The institute has also been honored as the STAR College by DBT.

Selection Criteria
- The selection of the candidates will be done on the combined merit basis of Entrance Exam (50%) and the qualifying examination (50%) of Shivaji University, Kolhapur.
- Category Reservation criteria are as per the govt. rule and management quota is 15% merit-based.
- Entrance Examination for M.Sc is conducted online
- The pattern will be MCQ based and each question carries 2 marks.
- The total duration will be 1 hour and will be conducted online.
- Syllabus includes: 10% each for B.Sc Part I & II; 80% from Part III of the concerned subject.
