Madras School of Economics Chennai Faculty

The faculty to student ratio is around 1:13. Barring some, faculties are mostly interactive and are fairly approachable. Dr. Gopal Krishna Roy - a gem of a faculty, is very patient and teaches in a very structured manner. Dr. Naveen Srinivasan - also the dean of the programme, is a master at what he does best - storytelling and macroeconomics. Dr. Zareena Begum I - fairly irregular and she doesn't teach well. Two internals and one end sem. Difficulty depends on the faculty taking the course. Endsems tend to be easier. On an average, 4-5 students flunk in each paper, each semester. The course curriculum is a mix of traditional theory like Linear Algebra, Micro, Macro and practical subjects like Data Science, MS Excel.

The faculty to student ratio is decent because the average class size is about 60-65 not more than that. And as i previously mentioned the staff lore in MSE is very good and they know there stuff. But in classes, they just give you general ideas about there subjects but they are very open to have one to one conversations with the students. They are easily approachable in my opinion. We have 2 internals and one end semester and they are easy to clear and score if you understand the concepts well and study whatever materials the respective faculties provide you. And the number of students who fail clear the exams varied from the different batches but its usually 10-12% of the class strength. Our math faculty Dr Poorna Pushpakala is one of my favourite faculties here. She gives us in depth insights about the subject and she is very proficient in her subject. The faculty I didn't really like was our English teacher because she treated us like highschoolers but other than that the its good.

The faculty members are very knowledgeable in their own fields. They are very kind and help the students with all kinds of doubts. they are all very professional and are very well Educated in their respective fields.

The faculty is excellent. Each and Every Professor is highly qualified and they are always interested to teach the students. They never miss any classes and help the students to get into the right track.

Our college is blessed with most educated faculty members. Especially this course has great faculty. We have visiting faculty members too they are also experienced. They have done research in their particular subjects which is impressive.

The faculty here consists of guest lecturers some from foreign universities too. Most of the teachers are permanent faculty members. They share their experiences with us which helps us and enlighten students too. They are highly qualified.

Discussing our staff they are great the majority of the resources did their PHD either from outside or presumed establishment in India like IGIDR, JNU and so forth. They are truly adept at instructing not just this they urge the understudies to take an interest in extra curricular exercises like Debate, Drama one central matter of the resources are that they urge understudies to go the field of examination which by and large individuals like.

The workforce staff comprises of visitor instructors from different piece of the world, specialists, lasting educators. The vast majority of them have done Ph.D. also, are specialists in their specific field. They share their examination zones and are very agreeable to find support on some close to home undertaking and furthermore offer chances to help them in their tasks. They give constant assignments which help you to pick up programming information and furthermore to learn strategies which are utilized in business life.

Teachers, Professors, Assistant Professors, Lecturers all are highly qualified. They push the students towards a bright future. They help us in final capstone projects and in our lab works. They are always ready to solve our needs.

The faculity is good and teacher are talented with good and detailed knowledge about their subjects. Regular classes are held and also extra classes to clear any doubts you may have. One thing that I dont like is they are very strict regarding our attendance in the college which sometimes become a pain.
