Government First Grade College, Shankaranarayana was founded in the year 1991. The College was established by the Karnataka Government with the noble intension of imparting quality education to the rural youth. The College is affiliated to Mangalore University, Mangalore Recognized by University Grants Commission (UGC), New Delhi and accredited by National Accreditation and Assessment Council (NAAC). The aim of the college is to make the Institution a Centre of Academic excellence & to provide career oriented education. The college has been offering three year Bachelor degree courses in Arts and Commerce streams. The college has good infrastructure and student amenities. It has a modern one storied building and constructed and maintained by Public Works Department.
