Admission to the Tripura Institute of Technology (TIT) is determined by the TBJEE entrance exam. The college offers 45 seats in each of its five branches, catering to students interested in engineering or medical fields. The computer science branch is a popular choice among engineering candidates. The faculty, comprising experts from both domestic and international backgrounds, focus on student success and industry readiness through a balanced curriculum. The semester fee is affordable, between 5,500 and 8,080 INR, with the total B.Tech fee around 45,000 INR.
Underprivileged and handicapped students may receive fee exemptions. Although the college lacks significant on-campus recruitment drives, about 65% of students secure jobs, with salary packages ranging from 2.5 to 6.5 LPA. Prominent recruiters include Wipro, TCS, Infosys, and others. Placement activities start from the 6th semester, with on-campus opportunities in the 7th semester. Collaborations with Jadavpur University provide internship opportunities with companies like BSNL and NIELIT, albeit mostly unpaid. The college supports students financially with scholarships like the NEC Merit Scholarship and Ishan-Uday, and partners with Tripura Gramin Bank for loans.
However, it does not offer hostel facilities, and canteen services incur extra costs.
