St Ann's College of Engineering and Technology, popularly known as SACET, is a private, autonomous college established in 2001. It is located in Prakasam, Andhra Pradesh. SACET is affiliated with JNTUK Kakinada and approved by AICTE. The institute holds accreditation from the NBA and has been awarded an “A” grade by NAAC. SACET Admission 2025

SACET admissions are based on marks obtained in the relevant entrance examination. Candidates seeking admission in BTech must have passed the AP-EAPCET exam. For Management Quota, admission is based on merit. The candidates should have a first class in Intermediate or a qualifying examination, or 50% secured in optional subjects: Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry. Candidates who wish to seek admission in any of the Diploma courses will have to appear for the Common Entrance Examination, AP-POLYCET, conducted by the SBTET, Andhra Pradesh. For PG Courses, Admissions are based on the APICET/AP-PGECET entrance exam.

SACET Placements 2025

SACET Campus

SACET campus spreads over 24 acres in a green and peaceful environment. SACET provides a pollution-free, relaxing environment for the students. According to our research, the institution has well-designed academic blocks with multimedia-enabled classrooms, over four computer labs, department-specific labs, and seminar halls. Amenities include a big theatre that may seat 700-3,000 people, depending on the source.

The central library has 5,801 titles and 31,502 volumes, along with 67 international journals and 115 national journals, also providing a peaceful and resource-rich environment for study to its students. It is further supported by a language lab, designed to enhance students’ communication skills.

For recreation and fitness, SACET offers a cricket ground, courts for volleyball, basketball, badminton, and tennis, plus a dedicated gymnasium and an indoor sports stadium. The campus supports learning with 100 Mbps Wi‑Fi, transport services including around 60–70 buses, a cafeteria, guest accommodations, ATM facilities, and full audio‑visual infrastructure for placements, interviews, and conferencing.

SACET Hostel

SACET provides hostel facilities for the students. There are separate hostel buildings for boys and girls within the campus. All the hostel buildings have 24/7 WiFi internet connectivity, a recreation hall, a gym, and a game room. The girls' hostel has special 24/7 security. Additionally, a laundry facility is also available for all the students at nominal charges. As per our research, the annual hostel fee is INR 15,000.

Likes

Teachers are the best supporters to develop all the things that bring out the best outcome in us.
Internship opportunities are also provided in the college. There are, of course, many advantages of doing an internship. These are provided based on the eligibility criteria too. We can also opt for them. They will be updated from time to time.
Placements are provided in a good number. There are good chances to get selected and avail the opportunities. Almost all the eligible candidates are placed with one of the packages, which are also good enough.

Dislikes

Placement will be there, but not for all internships. The number of internships with placements is very low, with only 2-3 available. Furthermore, no one will have knowledge about those either.
I do not know anything about the loan facility. However, there is a scholarship facility available for merit students. The college administration department will also support poor students in all cases, such as building fees and other similar situations.
Hostels are not good; rooms are bad with unclean and unhealthy conditions. The mess is the worst, with no proper beds. They all come to us, saying that they are dying in hostels due to the lack of proper ventilation and clean water to drink.

True colors of SACET.

Likes

The atmosphere around the college is so good as it has all four sides covered with farm lands.
They don't promote any ragging, racism or color.

Dislikes

They influence uneducated, illiterate parents to put their child in the branches which don't fill faster. At the end the eamcet councilling, they'll end up with almost 100% admissions and spend a day cutting a 100kgs cake, some sweets & fire crackers
Don't conduct any fruitful fests and no freshers party. They don't even let the juniors(1st year students) and seniors meet each other in college. They have seperated the block they study.
Must stay and listen the class even if the student is not interested at that moment. He'll be permitted to go out but for the next class he'll be treated differently. So no one dares to go out.

Admission:

I've also applied for RISE College ongole and BEC Bapatla. In my nearby location the St. Ann's College of Engineering and Technology is the only college that provided the branch CSE(AIML). That's the only reason I selected this. At my time the college accepts eamcet exam. I dont remember the cutoff. I got 25246 rank and got seat in CSE(AIML) Branch. I'm a boy, OC category.
