Sri Sairam Engineering College Chennai Admission 2024: Eligibility, TNEA, Registration
Sri Sairam Engineering College (SSEC) was established in the year 1995 by Sapthagiri Educational Trust in Chennai. SSEC has been ranked amongst Top Ten Engineering Colleges with 38 gold medals and a great placement record of 95% with TCS, Wipro, Capgemini, etc.
It is affiliated to Anna University and is approved by AICTE Delhi. SSEC accepts more than 1500 students and offers 5 UG and PG courses in Engineering and Management.
SSEC admissions are offered for undergraduate programs in BTech and BE and in postgraduate programs in ME, MCA and MBA. Selection to BE and BTech programs are based on TNEA counseling.
The cutoff for Computer Science and Engineering is about 182 and for Electrical and Electronic Engineering is about 178. General category students having passed 10+2 with more than 45% marks in science and Reserved categories applicants should have at least 40% marks to be eligible for UG admissions.

Eligibility:
Candidates should have passed 10+2 with 45% (General)/ 40% (Reserved) in science stream with PCM from a recognised board for are eligible for B.E Admissions.
Selection Criteria:
Selection will be done on the basis of merit of marks in 10+2 and TNEA counseling cut off marks for courses. The cut off for B.E program goes up to 189-193.
To be eligible for TNEA counseling, following candidates are eligible:
- Students from Tamil Nadu with 10+2 can apply.
- Children of army personnel and other government employees in Tamil Nadu can apply.
- Candidates should have qualified science stream in 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry and Maths.
- A score of 50% for general category, 45% for OBC and 40% for SC/ST is required in PCM.
- The minimum of students should be 18 and maximum should be 25 to apply.

How to Apply for BE in Sri Sairam Engineering College?
Application can be made on the official TNEA website by paying INR 500 for general category and Rs 250 for Reserved category.
Students are advised to follow the following steps for admission registration-
- Register themselves online by providing email, board of study and password.
- The registration should be made through the 'Sri Sairam Engineering College online registration portal' after reading the information brochure provided by the college.

Sri Sairam Engineering College Scholarships
Students can apply for merit based scholarships at SECC. BE/BTech applicants with 85%-87% marks in 10+2 are eligible to receive INR 5,000 whereas those with percentage above will receive full tuition fee waiver for a year.
MBA students are eligible for INR 5,000- INR 25,000 according to their rank in the University examination.

I heard that this college has best placement oppurnities for weach student and good infrastructure than the other bcollege and actually i tried for srm and vit and i wrote the entrance exam for these two college i did not selected so i prefer this college

- mainly if there are 5 toilets then the three are damaged mostly and fans could have been work faster

i have got an admission in srm university but due to th relations have recommend this institution i have no other chances rather dhan joining in this college but i will not hesitate joining this college things that i have regret is they are not allowing private vehicles to the instituion strict rules thats we should not wear casuals to the college.

i got admission at SNU chennai but the fees structure was 3 L per annum ,i cant afford much so i chose this college . I tried SSN but i cant able to pass through. we can apply through TNEA and other admission is also possible which is consortium

- I got good friends and social interactions with students from various departments.
- The staffs especially from cse department are too friendly.
Dislikes
- The management is worse in Sairam. Students are not free to talk and interact with their opposite gender.
- The management always finds a way to get money from the students. They put fine for unnecessary reasons.
Admission:
I applied through tnea counselling. I had a cutoff of 189.5/200 and I applied for top colleges like CEG,MIT,SSN. I know I won't get seat in those colleges as my cutoff is not upto that level. Then I preferred for REC, CIT AND then SEC. My primary need is cse course. Even though I got seat in REC in ECE department. I had given upward movement in the counselling which got me a seat in SEC (CSE).
Likes
- The infrastructure of Sri Sairam Engineering college is mind-blowing. It is a 45 acres compound with several greeneries and a best environment to learn with.
- The college is integrated with a Central Library, named "Dr.A.P.J. Abdul Kalaam Digital Library" which is a massive warehouse of various engineering books and digital learning resources.
Dislikes
- The rules of the college including strict formal attire is not reliable for everyone, as the college life span is the only phase at which students as teenagers have their right to decide upon their attire.
- Core departments get very less core placement companies, as most of them are placed in IT sector.
Admission:
Actually, I got into this college through government councelling program. I opted for Government colleges such as CEG and MIT at the first place, but my cut-ff was too low (186/200), thus I got Sri Sairam as my third choice. At present Iam a final year student. Even now I didn't feel like my choice was wrong. Iam very much grateful to get admission in Sri Sairam Engineering College. Compared to other colleges on Tamilnadu, my college is very much strict, I can be frank with that. But, on focusing on your career development and delightful future, this place is the best to rely upon.

- Strict Rules on Communication Between Genders: One of the downsides I noticed is the overly strict rules concerning interaction between boys and girls. These restrictions sometimes hindered collaboration.
- Rigid Dress Code: The dress code was quite strict, and this felt unnecessary at times, especially when we were working on creative projects or during informal events

I got peri institute of technology and Adhi college of engineering but after the counciling results, I got Sri Sairam Institute of Technology. which is one of the best colleges in tamilnadu and it has good bus facilities then other thats y i chose sri sai ram.

- In my Department staffs were very gentle, polite and friendly.
- They willgive freedom to study whatever we want
Dislikes
- Staffs only teach like only the main that is whatever in the book not more than that.
- Canteens and food is limited. Shops is als less
Admission:
As I do not have a good cut off I couldn't make to other college. I choose this college for placements and for the incubation cell, which they built newly. Their we can explore lot of things and also we can bring our startup plan to real. They have lots of support and lot of innovation has been brought.

Eligibility of the course is to take the cutoff of above 180 and in consortium 140 the admission application form is available in the college website and the apolication dates are after the 12 board exams the admission process are very smmooth as expected

The admission process occurs theough TNEA counselling for merit seats. Management counselling is also available. I was offered the course computer science and business systems for the cut off of 185. While other courses such as CSE, ECE expect higher cut offs in the range of 192-198

The admission process is simple.but there is an entrance exam before the admission,the exam have the topic of aptitude question and technical questions base on the course which you selected.by that marks they consider the students for admission
