PSV College of Engineering and Technology Pondicherry Course Admission 2025: Dates, Fees, Eligibility, Application Process, Selection Criteria

PSV College of Engineering and Technology offers B.Tech course in Computer Science and Engineering, Electronic and Communication Engineering, Electrical and Electronic Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering specializations. They are offered as 4-year, full-time program. The admissions are offered through both direct and lateral entry process.

Direct-Entry Admission:

Centralized Admission Committee (CENTAC) conducts counseling process for admission to B.E./B.Tech courses.

Candidate seeking admission to B.Tech courses (through CENTAC) in SGCET should have passed Higher Secondary Examinations (10+2) with minimum 45% marks (40% marks for OBC/ BCM/ MBC/ EBC/ BT/ SC candidates) in Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry/ Computer Science/ Biology/ Biotechnology. Candidates who have completed HSC in Vocational stream can also apply.

After the last date for registration of application, a merit/rank list is prepared based on the candidates aggregate in 10+2 exams. For other state candidates, their score in JEE-MAIN is considered as a cutoff. The candidate will be called for counseling based on their ranking on their merit list. In the counseling process, the allotment of seats will be done based on the candidate’s choice and their rank.

Lateral Entry Admission:

Lateral Entry admission is done directly by the Institute. The applicant seeking admission for B.Tech course should have passed Diploma Course in the relevant field with minimum 45% (40% marks for OBC/ BCM/ MBC/ EBC/ BT/ SC candidates) marks in the pre-final and final semesters from a recognized university or equivalent accepted by the University.

Key Points:

• Candidate applying for CENTAC should be an Indian National.
• French Nationals residing in UT of Puducherry, who are covered by the terms of the Treaty of Cession are eligible to apply.
• The maximum age limit for application is 21 years old as on July (24 years for SC candidates).
• CENTAC reservation criteria provides vertical and horizontal reservations for many categories.
