SEC offers full time four-year courses in various disciplines of Engineering for the candidates who have passed 12th standard examination of State Board of secondary education and Higher Secondary Education or its equivalent examination with subjects Mathematics, Physics, English as a compulsory subjects and Chemistry/ Biology/Bio technology as one of the optional subject. Admission is merit based.
Candidates having Diploma or Bachelor of Science (Science and Maths) recognized by state government with minimum 45% of marks are eligible to take admission directly in second year or third semester B.E program.

Candidates having Bachelor of Engineering (B.E) or Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) degree in relevant branch with 50% marks from recognized university are eligible to take admission in Master of Engineering (M.E) program. Admissions are entrance based i.e. GATE or TANCET.

Admission to this course will be through University Based Entrance Exam conducted by Anna University.
Candidates having bachelor's degree in Engineering / Technology or any other qualification recognized as equivalent in the fields of study with a minimum of 15 years of Research and development (R & D) experience in National Research Laboratories / Public sector undertakings and with minimum of three publications in referred impact factor journals or two approved international patents in the last five years are eligible to take admission in Ph.D course.
