Saraswathi Velu College of Engineering (SVCE) is a premier educational institution imparting quality education in the fields of engineering and technology. It was established in 2001 and located at Sholinghur (Vellore), Tamil Nadu state. The institute is affiliated with Anna University, Chennai. Saraswathi Velu College of Engineering offers undergraduate and post-graduate level degree courses in various disciplines of engineering and management studies. It currently offers Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) courses is four different engineering disciplines. The institute offers MBA courses with four specializations.

Candidates from Tamil Nadu state who have completed their 10+2 level from another state must produce a certificate of Nativity in order to seek admission under community quota.
Diploma in Engineering or Technology or B.Sc. degree holders are eligible to seek admission to 2nd year of the B.E. program under Lateral Entry scheme.
Admission to B.E. Lateral entry is done on the basis of KEA DCET entrance exam.
Candidates who have completed HSC (Vocational) must pass the program with the 45% aggregate marks in any one of Related Subjects (Mathematics/ Physics/ Chemistry), Vocational Theory and Practical taken together.
Admission to B.E. is done on the basis of their last qualifying exam marks though TNEA counselling.
For MBA, candidate with any graduation degree can apply for admission.
Admission to MBA is done on the basis of TANCET entrance examination.

Saraswathi Velu College of Engineering B.E. Admission 2024

Saraswathi Velu College of Engineering offers four-year degree (B.E.) courses in 5 different branches of engineering at the undergraduate level. The institute also offers a B. Tech degree program in Information Technology.

The basic eligibility criteria for admission to these courses is a pass in 10+2/ PUC or equivalent exam in science stream. Candidates are additionally required to secure at least 45 percentile marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics taken together. Selection of candidates is done on the basis of their last qualifying exam marks though TNEA counselling.

The college also offers B.E. Lateral admission for which candidate must pass in Diploma in CSE/EEE/ECE/Mech. Engg. OR B.Sc. degree. Admission is done on the basis of KEA DCET followed by state-level counselling.

Key Points:

The TNEA application fee for General candidates is INR 500 and INR 250 for candidates belonging to reserved categories.
Sri Lankan Tamil refugee candidates are eligible for TNEA counselling provided they meet all eligibility norms set by Anna University for TNEA candidates.
The minimum marks eligibility criteria for reserved category candidates is 45% marks (for both regular and Lateral Entry courses) in the qualifying degree examination.

Saraswathi Velu College of Engineering MBA and MCA Admission 2024

Saraswathi Velu College of Engineering offers two-year Master in Business Administration (MBA) and three-year Masters in Computer Application (MCA) degree programs at the post-graduate level. The MBA program is offered in four different specializations viz. Finance/Human Resource/ Marketing/ Systems.

The basic eligibility criteria for admission to these courses is a Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university. Candidates are also required to have secured at least 45% aggregate marks in the qualifying exam. For MCA, candidate must pass in BCA or graduate degree in CS/IT with mathematics as a subject to become eligible.

Selection of candidates for MBA & MCA is done on the basis of TANCET score via TANCA counselling.

Candidates seeking admission to MBA and MCA courses may fill the online application form for TANCET. Candidates who qualify the written test must appear for counselling conducted by Anna University. Students applying for Institute quota seats may fill the application form that is available for download from the institute website.

Saraswathi Velu College of Engineering Application Process 2024

Saraswathi Velu College of Engineering fills its government quota seats through Anna University’s Common Admission Process (CAP), viz. TNEA and TANCA counselling. The undergraduate level engineering candidates are admitted on the basis of their class XII marks through TNEA (Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions), and MCA and MBA candidates are admitted on the basis of their TANCET score through TANCA (Tamil Nadu Common Admissions) counselling. For management quota seats, candidates can download the application form from the official website or can obtain the form from the college office.

Admission:

I didn't take any entrance exam to get admission I got to this college by counselling with an eligibility of 60% in higher studies. Then we directly walked into college and got the application form, filled it and proceeded with the fees process and we didn't face any issues regarding the admission process.

Admission:

You can get easy admission through management seat and with less fees, or you can get admission in this college by TNCET which is conducted by Ann University every year. There is two types of admission on is for First year and other is Second year direct admission as lateral entry. For first year you need to be pass minimum +12.
