Sakthi Mariamman Engineering College (SMEC), Chennai was established in 2001 under Kannammal Educational Trust. It is affiliated to Anna University, Chennai and approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi. It is recognised by State Board of Technical Education, and Government of Tamil Nadu. It is an ISO 9001:2008 Certified Institute and accredited by National Board of Accreditation (NBA). Our college is well developing.They have bought many companies to our college for placements.Thats an good thing for as and our coming bach mets of mechanical and also other department. They had built the other compartment for mechanical and civil lab. I have to tell that they can improve the hostel facility as good for students. Coming bach ofall students are placed i think.
