Government Art College was started in 10th October 1987. It is situated just 3 km. away from Niwas City and on the way of Jabalpur road. It is affiliated to Rani Durgavati University and offers Bachelor of Arts (B.A.), Master of Arts (M.A.) courses. The college provides Scholarship to the backward class students and students are able for scholarship their attendance should be minimum 75% for the scholarship. The best library facilities with best books for the students and include book bank for SC/ST students and there are 200 plus miscellaneous books on various subjects.
The college has all necessary facilities like library, sports facility, playground, medical facility etc. The Cultural activities organizes by college like Debate, Quiz, Speech competitions are only for girls students like Rangoli, salad decoration, hair style etc. to enhance their personality besides the hectic studies schedule and studies burden.
